Americas was always going to be difficult with the number of top orgs there, but SR not getting in is particularly disappointing given how long they've been investing in VAL at different levels since day 1. In my opinion, you need to show there is a route for orgs to invest into VAL and make them believe they can ascend to partner status and this would have been it.
Financially stable. More content being created than T1 teams. Building out actual infrastructure in multiple cities. You'll never hear about a single 'issue' bts bc they're so well run with actual oversight.
It has to be very difficult for other non-partnered orgs to look at this example and see a realistic path for themselves toward getting partnered one day if SR couldn't do it.
Unfortunately, @ShopifyRebels was passed on for Valorant partnership. Will share more thoughts later, but for now enjoy a (no longer relevant) player card concept.
am i the only person on this app who thinks it's insane that people 'reporting' on valorant are getting paid by polymarket to signal boost paid futures bets that they already know the result of?

Competition is imperfect. Conditions can be inconsistent and adapting to unforeseen challenges and circumstances is part of competing.
That being said, I unequivocally stand in support of our players in denouncing the conditions of this VCL Americas LCQ. Regardless of the outcome, this series was egregiously beyond the threshold of acceptable standards for competition. From network, to rulings, to on-site conduct -- it was simply inexcusable.
SR loves VALORANT. We've been here since the beginning and we will continue to be. I value our relationship with Riot Games as one of the premier supporters of esports globally, but that doesn't excuse accountability when there is a failure to meet the standards these competitors deserve.
I'm sorry to players of both teams for the circumstances surrounding what should have been an excellent grand finals.
We'll be following up privately in an effort to hopefully improve these issues for the future.
