So many contenders from far and wide. In the end, a hometown entrant couldn't be stopped. The Red River Girls and their Border Battle custom-made breast cancer awareness singlets are the 2026 Kit of the Meet winners! Congrats girls and display the trophy proudly.

Team ND wins the Battle for the Paddle in the closet contest in Border Battle history.
Team SD and Team MN fought until the very last race. In the end, the Team ND prevailed once again.
The top performing program and winner of the Traveling Paddle is Bismarck Century!
We are excited to announce the late Pat Sullivan as the honorary starter for the 5th Annual Border Battle.
Pat began his coaching and teaching careers at Grand Forks Central in 1967 and continued teaching until 2002.
