Ukraine is once again a victim of American strategic stupidity. You’ve triggered one of the biggest oil crises since World War II by starting a foolish war, and now you’re worried about the price of oil.
Scoop: Ukraine halted an intense campaign of drone strikes on oil tankers using the Caspian Pipeline Consortium terminal in the Russian port of Novorossiysk after a request from US vice-president JD Vance during a call with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. ft.com/content/725b4d15-bd8d…

Only 0.5% of European startups scale. In America? 5 times as many. This issue isn't because Europe lacks talent, ideas, but it is caused by physical limitations, which we can overcome. America has a large market of 350 million consumers and potential investors. Europe? Our countries separately are 5, 20, 50 million people. Technically we have a single market, but the reality is that it is far from complete. Every country requires a different registration, different tax codes, different regulations on top of EU ones, and also sometimes different currencies. The result? American Companies scale in their large market first, and then with their existing scale they have an easier time to conquer the European market, instead of European companies that grew from their 5 million people country to 1 or 2 neighbours, reaching maybe 50 million people ot so, before then being outcompeted by the american companies which already had scale in their home market and thus had the resources to quickly scale across all of Europe's national bureaucracies. A similar story can be seen with investments, Europe is simply too fragmented, and an investor from Sweden simply deems it too difficult to invest in companies Slovenia, because of all different rules and systems. These points are backed by extensive research about EU's competitiveness, and also Draghi's report was set to be implemented. Yet, national bureaucracies are hesitant to simplify because it would end some duplicate bullshit jobs across their countries. So, does Europe choose National Bureaucracy, or European Simplification? We choose for European Simplification. Europe must become an innovation hub, able to scale worldwide competitive companies. We have the talent, we have the money, we just have to allow them to be free from national bureaucracy and let them build continental companies with ease.

“We will not let Zelensky have the last laugh,” reads one of Orbán’s propaganda posters. Meanwhile, Zelensky has congratulated Péter Magyar on his success in Hungary’s elections. Oops, something went wrong.

Ugly Russian toad lost. Orbán lost! Amazing day! Turns out blaming Zelenskyy for everything isn’t a winning strategy. Turns out being a Russian puppet isn’t a good idea. Turns out the Hungarian people can see through his lies! I'm going to open a bottle of wine to celebrate 🥳

Republicans - please put this guy on the campaign trail.
Vance is returning to Washington having put the nail in Orban's coffin, and failed to reach a deal with the IRGC in Pakistan. A disastrous trip for his political standing.

The Hungarian people have made their voice heard loud and clear, their choice must be respected by all. A strong, democratic EU built on shared values, common interests, and mutual respect serves everyone in Europe and beyond. 🇱🇻 is ready to work with 🇭🇺 to achieve these goals.
