#GetPRDone 💪
There's a thing called "democratic praxis". When your core of voters can't be bribed or blackmailed on the false promise of #PR. The stronger your principled core, the stronger your force for enfranchisement. To #GetPRDone .
The next #GE will be #OneLastBlackmailBurnham with some lame pledge for #PR in Labour's manifesto.
The pressure for Libs and Greens to vote Labour will be unprecedented.
Ideological purity on issues such as Gaza has far more democratic praxis.
Stick with #ZionismIsRacism.
Burnham came out for #PR and both Green and Libs poll worse. This is inevitable.
@AaronBastani’s analysis meanwhile plummets into oblivion.
All these Labour MPs “revolting” endorsed @andyburnham as leader knowing full well he’d bring in #PR.
Labour is not a serious political party.

People say that the Green Party doesn't talk about the environment anymore.
In my big conference debrief I read out every policy we passed at Green Party Conference to prove the Green Party still cares about the environment.
Interesting how practically the entire PLP endorsed @andyburnham for leader knowing full well his commitment to #PR, but now the idea makes them “physically sick”…..
It’s like they’re playing games and not a serious party/government? 🤔
How’s @Keir_Starmer getting on these days - as a serious political entity? 🙃

They presumably think they’ll still get a majority under FPTP. Hope springs eternal.
EXC: Labour divided over Andy Burnham’s plan for electoral reform
Cabinet figures including Louise Haigh, Angela Rayner and John Healey sceptical of reform
Several Labour MPs tell me they do not support a proportional voting system
One MP says the prospect of relying on the Greens to govern makes them ‘physically sick’

“People are dying every single day. And my party is unified on saying this government is still arming that genocide.”

👏👏👏 In the face of the predictable onslaught from @bbclaurak Zack Polanski turned in a solid performance re Zionism is racism. No apology, no climbdown. Jo Coburn and Nadine Dorris left spluttering with outrage, which indicates he did something right.
Dale Vince, wearing a kaffiyeh, even managed to slip in a reference to “genocide,” without correction. We’re getting there, slowly.
As for Laura, if only we knew what her own views were ...

Like I keep saying, Labour MPs are either gonna actively sabotage any attempts to bring in a PR voting system, or if it does pass they'll sooner go into coalition with the Tories than let the actual left get anywhere near a power sharing agreement.

I had fears about the perception of the Zionism is Racism motion, but it's exposed how corrupt Andy Burnham and Labour really are, and it's also re-highlighted just how corrupt mainstream media is.
Not only is it a just motion, it's turned out to be a genius political move. – at Walsall, England
Taking the pure principled stance creates an unsqueezable core vote which won’t succumb to the #FPTP vote extortion attempts at election time. This maximises leverage to force Burnham to actually #GetPRDone.

Thanks boss for standing by me and so many others!
My friend and colleague @MothinAli is a hero, working to heal divisions.
His win today against right wing smears is not only for him but for all global majority politicians whatever party they serve in their fight against lies and abuse.

"If you want to lift up the poor, you have to create wealth."
"How's that going?"
Podcaster and former Mumford & Sons member Winston Marshall discusses taxes with economist and Green Party supporter Faiza Shaheen.
#Newsnight
It’s so interesting when right wingers spot that right wing parties are fake.
They’re all fake Rachel, to differing degrees.
Until we get #PR will remain so.
Why on Earth, would four senior Tories help set up a “movement” with a man that had just left their enemy party.
Like what party, long standing party, suddenly decides to set up a new one, or even help with it?
People are accepting this as all very normal. It isn’t.
Susan Hall, Gavin Williamson, Esther McVey and Nick Timothy.
These are not minor Tory party members. One is now the Shadow Justice Sec.
A stopped clock is right twice a day.
Without #PR Burnham is finished.
