A fantastic achievement by LSL & the ACLG to get this unique loco back hauling passengers on the mainline 👏 👏

The dumbest thing I did was be a 'good boy' for my entire working life: work hard and pay my taxes. 45 years of being systematically and arbitrarily robbed by criminals, some wearing blue ties, some wearing red, and even some sporting a splash of yellow.
I now struggle to pay my bills in retirement and I am still being fleeced via tax by the same clowns.
Meanwhile, these crooks choose to send cash abroad, squander it on insane initiatives such as 'net zero' and DEI, pay themselves tidy expenses, fund wars, and welcome with open arms anyone illegally entering the country, people they are happy to spend billions of pounds on whilst simultaneously making those of us who paid a fair whack into the system, struggle.
People often ask me why I don't vote any more ... and I think it should be fairly obvious. None of these 'senior politicians', across all parties, have any interest in the wellbeing of the common man or woman. They are only interested in their own self-promotion and pressing ahead with whatever harebrained agendas they support whilst in power.
It's only the window dressing that changes ... what awaits in the shop is always the same bullshit that shafts the good, honest folk of this country.

🚨NEWS: Jeremy Clarkson has slammed the Labour Government's decision to remove the right for men over 50 to receive a free PSA prostate cancer check
"I cannot for the life of me work out what their reasoning might be."

Until last week, men over 50 were entitled to a free PSA prostate cancer check. But the government has now decided to withdraw that right. I cannot for the life of me work out what their reasoning might be.

After New Order went on hiatus, bassist Peter Hook formed Monaco with David Potts and found himself back near the top of the charts with "What Do You Want from Me?". Built around Hook's unmistakable melodic bass sound, the single reached the UK Top 20 and became the duo's biggest hit. This TFI Friday performance from February 1997 captures Hook beginning a new chapter while carrying a distinctive piece of New Order's musical DNA with him.

I left school at 15yrs & went into full-time employment.
Married at 19yrs & went on & had 2 children.
We paid taxes all our working life
We eventually paid our mortgage off, helped our children get on the property ladder.
I certainly am not prepared to allow this government to take everything we have worked hard for in order to pay for others that just stroll into this country & are given everything for free.
There are a lot of others in the same situation who’ve always done right by this country.
We as a family have not taken a penny in benefits from this country.
This government needs to get their priorities right & start treating UK Citizens with the respect they deserve.

Today is #YorkshireDay, but for me, every day spent here has been my greatest privilege. In truth Yorkshire has given me a home, a family, a purpose and a lifetime of inspiration.

It wasn't meant to be for the legend in the 53 machine, with mechanical woes and bad luck all weekend - but wasn't it fantastic to have him part of the occasion. 👏

This is genuinely sad to see.
The Government can find the money to increase foreign aid from 0.2% to 0.7%, while we already send Pakistan £133 million a year.
Yet we can't find a few million to keep Britain's largest space telescope open.
It helped support the Apollo missions, tracked Soviet rockets during the Cold War, and inspired generations of scientists.
Our priorities are completely backwards.
