the header panel in @getelevationapp is the part I keep playing with. it floats over an animated background and shows your current week, and when you drag it upward the calendar expands into the full month, with each day animating from its position in the week to its exact place in the month grid. the whole transition is interruptible, so you can drag halfway and watch the days hang between the two layouts. I open this screen every morning, which is exactly why I spent time making the gesture feel this good.

what's running under the hood in @getelevationapp: direct HealthKit queries for heart rate, distance, GPS routes, HRV SDNN, running power, cycling power and cadence; plus a custom training load layer: EWMA acute/chronic, fetches ~102 days internally to kill seed bias, per-workout heart rate zones for intensity distribution parallel async tasks so HRV and training load load independently and appear the moment they're ready. HKObserverQuery for live updates when a new workout completes. workout deduplication across sources. the Health app has all this data. getting it into a shape that's actually useful took a while.

go check it out!
among modern creative tools, @remotion is one of the few I’m genuinely excited about. It makes motion design feel closer to thought. I had this ad living in my head as a sequence of movement: camera zooming into a bar tip then pulling back, letters blur-revealing as the viewport pans, words flying in one by one, a video panel collapsing to a point. with @claudeai writing Remotion code, those motions became the video below.

last year I fell in love with endurance sports. running, cycling, first races. I've been tracking my kilometers ever since. to understand where I am, how I'm building, what's working. @getelevationapp shows your training load, HRV trend, intensity zones, week over week. hundreds of workouts, thousands of data points. built it for my own training. available now.
