Today we’re releasing a new version of Flipchat we call “Chat Based Spaces”. It’s the format of a Space – with Speakers and Listeners – but conversations are chat based and long lived. And if you’re a Listener and have something you want to say, you can pay the Listener Message fee to get your message into the chat. Flipchat is the best place to chat and debate online, where the conversations go beyond one liners and live on like a group chat.

The more important question is whether it's possible to create a social media app where you don't have to deal with either kind of troll. I'm not sure, but my guess is yes. It's still early days. And if it is possible, that's a very exciting idea.

simple but fun idea: @flipchat_app group chats where entry is gated by microtransactions the team previously built Kik messenger (remember: "Kik me" lol) one of the biggest apps ever back in the day, 80M users, and one of the first mass mobile msging apps along with BBM and it's built on Solana! basically, you either: i) create a chat room and charge cover ii) join another chat room and pay cover I'm creating Room 1315 to test this out, come say hello signup was quite simple and took roughly 3-4 clicks
