We did it again! The third Wi-Fi engineers conference in Russia took place last week. Codename #rufiday or wifimarathon.ru
This year, 170 engineers attended the conference in Moscow! One full day, eight speakers, and lots of networking.
Impressed by the professor Jeffrey Sachs Speech At EU Parliament. Listening to people like this gives me faith in humanity.
9th "Wireless networks design, implementation and maintenance" enhanced (6-day) course completed! I trained Megafon engineers how to build good Wi-Fi. Life goes on!
5 years ago at #WLPC I was inspired by the friendly engineering community and dreamed of having such a conference in Russia. Today this day happened. 110 participants + 70 online. We did it! Thank you @KeithRParsons for that inspiration! I hope our communities can meet soon.
Small keepalive from me. Working hard, 12 new Wi-Fi contracts this year, 2 stadiums. Making time for vacations with my family, small local trips, 3 weeks this year, planning more. Not only engineering team is growing, and so is the company's revenue. Maxim, from Russia with love!
Last year I disappeared from the air, there were a lot of things to do and I didn't see the point, time and mood to describe them. I trained engineers, did some interesting Wi-Fi projects, met with friends and most of the time I was engaged in a serious personal project.

Engineers, now we have Wi-Fi 6e AP's with connectors for external antennas, and someday they will work with the AFC, but I do not see any indoor Wi-Fi 6e AP's with the ability to connect external antennas, for example, to put them in the stadium, in large auditoriums. Why?
7th "Wireless networks design, implementation and maintenance" course completed! I trained Gazprom Neft engineers how to build good Wi-Fi. Usual course is 4-5 day and it's always not enough time for questions. This course was 6 day long, this format has proven to be successful!
6th "Wireless networks design, implementation and maintenance" completed. 12 engineers joined this CWNA-based course to learn how to build better Wi-Fi.

Anybody got any experience with installing APs underfloor in crowded open spaces? We've done some tests but the noise level from adjacent APs was too high. It worked, however. The next step is to try again with directional antennas.

Meanwhile, I tested industrial equipment (access points and switch) of the Russian company Eltex, which has been on the market since 1992. Good enough to recommend it to local factories.
Some comments for #industrialwifi guys working with overhead cranes WGB.
1. If you have Cisco IW3702 WGB connected to AP on Cisco 9800 - use OLNY local mode.
2. If you have Siemens WUM766-1 client connected to AP on Cisco 9800 - use OLNY FlexConnect.
1. It's hard to stay away from what was going on in the world. I studied information from both sides, both official and those broadcast on social media or by political scientist. Having studied as much as my head allows, I have learned that half-truths are found on both sides.
