Representatives from across all 16 regions are here to participate in the National TEIN Conference. It promises to be an exciting time as we deliberate and engage in progressive conversations that will shape the future of the Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN). #YouthPower #GreenArmy
With just one day to go, delegates and members from across the country will arrive for the National TEIN Conference, a landmark gathering of bright young minds united by a shared commitment to our great Party's future.
We look forward to welcoming you all as we unite to strengthen our ranks, deepen our resolve, and advance the cause of the NDC. #YouthPower #GreenArmy
On October 13, 2026, the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) and the Student Workforce and Innovation Movement (SWIM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding at @mydeghana.
This strategic partnership bridges the gap between education and the job market by empowering young Ghanaians to convert their ideas into sustainable businesses. Aligned with President John Dramani Mahama’s Resetting Ghana Agenda, the initiative positions youth as active drivers of national economic transformation rather than mere participants. #YouthPower
We are ready to receive TEIN Representatives from all accredited TEIN Chapters across the country. The event is designed to offer participants the best all-around experience. If you've been selected as a representative, please share your expectations with us. #YouthPower #TEINConference2026

Yesterday, I had the privilege of receiving the Parliamentary Select Committee on Youth and Sports at @mydeghana. We had productive discussions on our programmes, achievements, and priorities as we continue to advance opportunities for Ghana’s youth.
On behalf of the Ministry, I sincerely thank the Committee for their visit, engagement, and continued commitment to supporting youth development and empowerment across the country. #YouthPower

Ofie! This is how we proudly celebrated the 200th Anniversary of the Akuapem Odwira Festival. This year's edition is highly significant, marking two centuries of rich heritage since its founding in 1826 after the victory at Katamanso, and emphasizing purification and thanksgiving. #YouthPower
On September 24th, I had the pleasure of receiving Her Excellency Diarra Dimé-Labille, Ambassador of France to Ghana, for a courtesy call at @mydeghana.
Our discussions focused on deepening bilateral cooperation, expanding skills development and entrepreneurship programs, and creating new strategic pathways for young Ghanaians through strong international partnerships.
Government remains committed to fostering impactful collaborations that empower the next generation and drive sustainable development. #YouthPower
I delivered the keynote on Day 2 of the Pan-African AI & Innovation Summit 2026 in Accra this morning. In my speech, I highlighted that with over 70% of Ghana's population aged 35 and under, expanding access to training isn't enough; we must shift our focus to job placement, sustainable income, and long-term career growth.
The National Youth Tracker Platform and YouthXplore App are tackling fragmentation across youth programmes by using data and AI-curated pathways to connect young people to jobs, apprenticeships, mentorship, and capital. Alongside this, the One Million Coders Programme and Adwumawura Programme are aligning skills training with high-growth sectors like agribusiness, manufacturing, digital services, and AI.
Beyond Ghana, we need a borderless African talent ecosystem, backed by initiatives like the AI for Youth Africa Fellowship and AfCFTA frameworks, for portable, recognized credentials that let young Africans compete across markets.
This demands deeper industry co-design, with the private sector helping shape curricula and build employment pipelines tied to real market demand. By connecting training, capital, mentorship, and employment, we move from preparing young people for the future to helping them earn, build careers, and drive Africa's economic transformation. #YouthPower #JobsForYoungPeople
Our meeting with Khalid Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Federal Youth Authority of the United Arab Emirates, on the sidelines of the International Festival of Youth in Russia, was a valuable engagement for our delegation.
We exchanged perspectives and explored opportunities for learning and collaboration in youth development, policy, innovation, and empowerment. We also discussed potential partnership areas that could create meaningful opportunities for young people and strengthen youth-focused institutions across our countries. #YouthPower

On the sidelines of the International Festival of Youth in Yekaterinburg, Russia, I had the opportunity to present key projects within Ghana’s youth ecosystem. I provided updates on how our interventions are helping young people succeed in a constantly changing global environment, preparing them for sustainable livelihoods and positioning them to compete confidently in the international market. Initiatives like the National Apprenticeship Programme, Adwumawura Programme, the S.E.E.D Programme, One Million Coders Programme, and many others are transforming our approach to the most pressing issues facing our youth.
These initiatives demonstrate Ghana’s commitment to empowering its youth with the skills, resilience, and innovation needed to drive national progress while making meaningful contributions to the global community. #YouthPower

Earlier today, I hosted a delegation from the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) to assess Ghana’s High-Impact SDG Targets.
Our discussions focused on progress towards critical targets, such as decent work for youth under SDG 8.5. This engagement will help us refine our strategies, align resources, and move faster toward the 2030 Agenda.
By working closely with the NDPC, we keep our youth empowerment programmes aligned with national development priorities and contribute to human capital development and inclusive growth.
We remain committed to equipping young Ghanaians with the skills, opportunities and support they need to drive Ghana’s sustainable future. #YouthPower
This morning, I participated in the inaugural National Youth Parliament Mock Sitting organized by the National Youth Authority (NYA). It was a simulation that allowed young people to experience parliamentary proceedings, deepen civic engagement, and build leadership skills.
Time and again, Ghana's youth have shown they are capable, visionary, and ready to lead. This mock sitting is not just symbolic; it strongly proves our young people's readiness and potential to lead. #WithImmediateEffect
