just thinking abt what geonwoo was going through these past 7 months... how many conversations happened behind closed doors as he diligently went to work at wakeone day after day and week after week with no clear direction? how long did he hope things could be resolved without taking legal action? what did it cost him to reach this point? we didn't even know he's been fighting this battle quietly all this time... fuck, my heart really hurts at the unfairness of it all. to those saying he's being selfish - can't you just put yourselves in his shoes for 1 minute? selfish for what exactly? for standing up for himself? for wanting clarity about his own future? would you really expect someone to sit quietly and accept whatever happens to them after waiting for months, simply because speaking up is an "inconvenience" and a "nuisance" for yall? he's a person with rights and dreams too like everyone else. his fans voted for him and he earned his spot in the team like the other members. he already spent so much time away for reflection for one mistake he already apologized for and 20 other allegations he didn't even do! why is he expected to bear so much responsibility and put his life on hold for wakeone's inadequacy? geonwoo deserves to have his rights respected and his wishes taken seriously. he deserves the opportunity to advocate for himself without being vilified for it. and i'm proud of him for taking that step.
