Replying to @mohamadfakih8
@mohamadfakih8 has endorsed Chow. If that's not enough reason to get out and vote against her, I don't know what is.
My goodness. She, the demonic goblin @GretaThunberg, is much scarier than Michael Myers, the Halloween killer. Knows nothing; says nothing; contributes nothing; is wrong about everything. A truly execrable creature.
Well there you go, Toronto. She has the endorsement of Bob Rae and Kathleen Wynne. That should be enough for anyone. 😬
I’m proud to have the endorsement of Kathleen Wynne, the 25th Premier of Ontario.
As Kathleen says, we come from different political traditions but we share a value system. We both believe that government exists to lift people up and to help them do the things they cannot do themselves.
This election is a choice between moving forward together to make our city more caring, or going backwards with cuts to the services families depend on. Kathleen is a leader that has always stood up for families, and I am committed to building a city that works for everyone.

Milton Friedman:
“In the long run, government will spend whatever the tax system will raise, plus as much more as it can get away with. That’s what history tells us.”
“So my view has always been: cut taxes on any occasion, for any reason, in any way that’s politically feasible, as the only way to keep down the size of government.”

Approached at the grocery store
Francois-Philippe Champagne says that when he goes to grocery stores, people come up to him to tell him how Carney's "grocery benefit" is making their groceries more affordable.
In the scenraio below, the daycare gets the gov't subsidy for a $10/day child PLUS the $$ for a regular spot. The rich person gets a big charity tax write off.
I think there is a major scam going on
An enterprising journalist needs to find out if rich people are taking $10/day spots in exchange for a donation (bribe?) to the daycare they can then use as a tax write off.
This whole thing stinks and needs eyes on it
I'm sure the kid would have preferred a new bike.

This is Brussels. EU headquarters. Broad daylight. A mob smashes a car, jumps on the roof, destroys everything. Media calls them "students". If these are students, what do criminals look like? Europe imported chaos and now pretends to be shocked. Europeans must wake up now.

The "student protesters" in Brussels are asked: "What are you protesting about?":
"Student": "I don't know".
Asked again: “so, what is your message?”
"Student": "Destroy everything!!"
Post-Covid, I have no doubt that our government would lead us right into the abyss in an all out war with the US. After confiscating all Canadian citizens' guns, of course.

In a Globe & Mail retirement financial facelift, we see the "criminal" returns courtesy or their advisors. "Over the three calendar years, an asset allocation portfolio compounded at about 15.7 per cent annually. Conversely, the brokerage statements for Reba’s portfolio show a three-year annualized return of 8.2 per cent for 2023 through 2025." This is more the norm for Canadians ...

UPDATE: Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, now in the 21st year of a four-year presidential term, has just confirmed that he will not honour his commitment to the Canadian government on Palestinian statehood.
As reported by the @TorontoStar, Hamas called the postponement “a step in the right direction.” The decision comes amid reports of an “alliance between Hamas, Islamic Jihad and a bloc led by former Fatah security chief Mohammed Dahlan.”
The Canadian government must now hold the Palestinian Authority accountable for failing to meet its commitment to hold “general elections in 2026 in which Hamas can play no part.”
More details: thestar.com/news/world/middl…
Following confirmation that the Palestinian Authority (PA) is breaking its commitment of elections in 2026, the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA) released the following statement calling on the Government of Canada to take concrete measures to hold the PA accountable:
“Just over a year ago, Prime Minister Carney recognized Palestinian statehood on the basis of commitments made by the Palestinian Authority, including holding general elections in 2026 and undertaking 'much-needed reforms.'
“Today, the PA has confirmed it has broken its commitment to hold elections in 2026. The PA has also failed to enact reforms, including ending payments to terrorists and the families of those who murdered innocent civilians.
“While Israel faces punitive measures from the Canadian government, the Palestinian Authority has yet to face accountability for failing to deliver on its commitments. This is a dangerous double standard that has implications for both the region and here in Canada where security experts warn that criticism of Israel has been exploited to fuel antisemitism, violence and even acts of terror.
“Prime Minister Carney has said Canadian foreign policy is guided by 'taking the world as it is, not as we wish it to be,' and by the pursuit of influence.
“But influence must be measured by results. If recognizing Palestinian statehood has not secured even the commitments on which that recognition was predicated, Canadians deserve to know what Canada's approach is achieving. Canadians need to know what concrete steps their government will now take to hold the PA accountable and ensure its policies produce meaningful progress toward peace."
