😇 SIFUNA - MARAGA - OMTATAH. THE TRIUMVIRATE. In our thoroughly considered opinion, of the people in the conversation for high office in Kenya, the top three are undoubtedly Edwin Sifuna, David Maraga and Okiya Omtatah. In terms of pure clout, Rigathi Gachagua is close to, if not at, the top of the pile. However, Riggy-G carries significant political baggage and the real burden of responsibility for having, against explicit warnings, enabled the William Ruto nightmare we are living through. He is doing a stellar job towards ending the nightmare, but, prudent squad management would advise at least a cooling off period for such an “involved” actor. Don’t get us wrong; Gachagua would be an asset to the next government, probably in a key cabinet role, but we cannot in good conscience, based on our extensive research, vouch for a Riggy-G presidency or deputy presidency. We encourage all serious citizens and aspiring leaders to think in terms of assembling a great team of complementary & compatible players. The TRIBE thing is BAD and has gotten us NOWHERE good, but it unfortunately continues to be a regrettable factor. We challenge real reformers to jettison all those unhealthy, imposed colonial mentalities. Let us get on with the business of making Kenya better for us ALL. Hire only THE BEST to work for you and your loved ones. There is so much to correct in Kenya and we need people of INTEGRITY and EXCELLENCE to do the job. What YOU get in YOUR POCKET rather than what "the country makes" should be of greater concern to YOU. The priorities and appetite of those in leadership must be carefully watched. Here are some questions you should ask about your leaders. - Are they more interested in enriching themselves or are they more interested in uplifting those they lead? - Are they more interested in shiny things and conspicuous consumption or are they keen to be very careful with public resources? - Are they content with enough or do they always want more and more for themselves? - Do they want to keep you poor while they expect you to admire them for their stolen wealth? - Do they want to teach people how to fish or do they want to keep controlling people through handouts? - Do they want to export raw materials and jobs or do they want to build industries, create jobs and add value to exports?
