I can’t believe people are moaning about the phone alerts regarding wildfires. As someone who used to fight wildfires every year, you don’t seem to understand how bad they are. They can destroy peoples lives, livelihoods, homes and destroy wildlife habitats. Grow up.

People didn’t care about the contents of the characters of Princess Diana and Queen Camilla. Their feelings were based primarily on the physical appearance of both women. They couldn’t understand how King Charles couldn’t bear to look at Diana and wanted Camilla. That’s why I have more respect for King Charles and the actions he has taken since become King. He isn’t fooled by beauty or by presentation, he is impressed with substance over shallow optics. That’s why his educated and well informed stances on subjects as diverse as the environment to how to treat Meghan and Harry, infuriates populists from across the political spectrum. He has spent a lifetime hearing people calling him weak and has proven to be anything but. In fact he has shown his detractors to be weak. Don’t believe me? Take a good look at the timeline of the Andrew drama and tell me who was weak in dealing with him.

Rowan Williams, the former Archbishop of Canterbury has admitted he didn’t want King Charles and Queen Camilla to wed and in a Church. Apparently the Queen didn’t think it was appropriate either. But both felt it was appropriate for Andrew to keep his honours and titles. I’m sick of this moral hypocrisy and I’m glad King Charles is King. The more I learn about him the more I admire him. When Princess Diana cheated on him in the first six months of the marriage with her equerry, he didn’t go running to Camilla, who was herself married and raising a young family. He told the Queen he wanted a divorce and was denied on multiple occasions, including when Diana threw herself down some stairs whilst pregnant with William. He wasn’t jealous of the attention Diana got in public, he was angry that the reasons for their engagements were being ignored by the press. There is no doubt in my mind that Charles was the one stuck in an abusive marriage. A marriage which he was denied escape from, simply because of antiquated notions about morality and duty. King Charles has now been married to his best friend and equal for nearly 20 years. Their true love and friendship has traversed all lies and hatred including from his own parents. It has lasted through their phones being illegally hacked, with private messages being published. I’ve come to realise King Charles was bullied most of his life and that has tempered him into a truly wonderful man. God Save the King.
