Sex Matters brought a legal challenge against @CPSUK over guidance on deception as to sex.
Today the High Court handed down judgment dismissing our claim that the guidance is unlawful, but making stinging criticism of the CPS, calling the guidance overly sympathetic to transgender suspects in rape cases.

One of the most prominent drag queens in Germany has been spared prison after being convicted of possessing child sexual abuse material for the second time.
Mario Olszinski, who performed under the stage name "Jurassica Parka," was a well-known gay rights activist and was formerly appointed the "Queer Berlin Ambassador" for the city's Place2Be tourism campaign.
Olszinski was charged after investigators found child sexual abuse material on his electronic devices during a search of his home in July of 2025.
Olszinski was ultimately sentenced to ten months in prison, but the sentence has been suspended, meaning he will not spend any time behind bars so long as he complies with the court's conditions.
This is the second time Olszinski has avoided prison after being convicted of possessing child sexual abuse materials.
He was previously convicted in 2023 of distributing, acquiring and possessing child sexual abuse material and was sentenced to pay a fine of €11,200.

The apparent solution for women who don’t want to see men who claim to be women in women’s spaces is for us to go elsewhere.
Oh, is that so?
Basically, politicians are saying if you’re a woman who doesn’t want men who claim to be women in women only spaces, create new women only spaces.
But, um, that’s what I did.
I didn’t try to turn a previously woman-only (or even unisex) space into something strictly based off the accurate definition of woman. I created my own. Admittedly, I didn’t do it in response to this madness & it was a dark day when I realized that I had created a woman only space at the one time in human history when anyone is pretending they don’t know WTF a woman is… but I did create something, privately owned, that would be a place for woman to go if they wanted woman only.
And men who claim to be women, along with their political, judicial & bureaucratic friends, said… NO. Exactly what I’m (apparently) not allowed to say to men who claim to be women.
So don’t act like there is this wild world of choice for women who want woman only spaces. As someone very astutely once noted in a super viral X post, even if we created a special corner of hell exclusively for TERFs, men who claim to be women would want access to that too.

A: No.
Q. Does the motion benefit males or females?
A: Primarily males at the expense of females.
Conclusion: motion reinforces power relations between the sexes. This is patriarchy.

Why are the majority of women murdered in their own homes? By men they know.
Access.
Because it’s easier for violent men to access women they live with, or are related to.
It’s easier to harass, abuse and control women in spaces where you have unrestricted access. A front door key, for example.
Women who are killed by partners or former partners have often experienced years of coercive control, psychological abuse and financial abuse beforehand. That can make it incredibly difficult to say “no”, or to leave a situation they know is dangerous - especially when children are involved.
As a crime reporter of many years, you’d think Allison Morris would understand this better than anyone.
Yet she appears to believe a man should, effectively, be handed the keys to female-only spaces - simply because he says he’s a woman.
And has, apparently, forgotten that many women once believed the man they married, lived with, or had children with would never physically harm them.
Which is exactly why domestic abuse refuges exist, and why charities devote themselves to helping women and children escape male violence.
Morris also seems to think men who identify as women are too delicate to be told “no”.
To be told that they are perfectly entitled to identify however they wish - but they must stay out of women’s spaces.
Because women cannot tell, on sight, which men pose a threat and which don’t. And safeguarding is based on boundaries, not trust.
But what I find genuinely sad is this.
Morris knows all this - better than anyone.
Yet she is still willing to publicly smear women who defend women’s single-sex spaces as bigots or right-wing extremists - rather than engage constructively with their arguments.
You don’t have to agree with those women.
But refusing even to hear what they have to say isn’t just a failure of empathy.
It’s a failure of journalism.

JK Rowling is a feminist. She prioritizes the rights and safety of women over men who are confused about the actual difference between male and female people.

The dumbest smear i get is 'you don't actually care about women's sports.'
I was an elite athlete until i was 19 years old. I was a 7x national gymnastics team member. I dedicated my life to sports. I moved away from home at 14 before it was a thing for parents to put everything into their kids' sporting career. I had zero childhood, only training.
I was the first whistleblower about abuse in gymnastics. I endured harassment and being demonized for calling out abusive coaches and a culture that promotes it and covers it up. I didn't stop speaking up, despite the endless harassment, precisely because I care about female athletes.
I had the first meeting with Senator Feinstein about the need for the Safe Sport Act. Which happened about a year after that meeting.
I wrote a book exposing abuse in the Olympic movement. I named names.
I made a documentary film connecting the crimes of Larry Nassar to a broader culture of abuse in sports.
Seriously, find another smear.
I'm a lot of things -- smear me for those. But the idea that I don't care about female athletes and women's sports is so dumb I can't even really find the words. You would actually be hard pressed to find someone who cares more and has done more to show it.

Cool story, Bennett. There is not agreement from speakers of the language of what your ideological nonsense use of the word is.
Keep in mind, the only reason that men who claim to be women want the word “woman” is *because* it means adult human female and that’s the category of people they want to be part of. Their desperation for this word proves that it does have a meaning and they just want to be included in it. But they’re not.
My definition is not “preferred”. It is accurate.

To those writers at the Seattle Times—let me start by saying this: I wholeheartedly stand by, now more than ever, what I said about you before when you decided to pull the @Matt_Calkins article. You ARE a woke rag who silences the voices of anyone who has a differing opinion from yours.
I would also like to add that the only group doing the “fear-mongering” is you. You tell people and athletes that in order to play a sport, they have to have invasive genital exams. WRONG! I have been playing sports all my life, and never once have I had to expose myself to anyone just to prove I am a girl.
You tell the voters of Washington that it is only 10–12 athletes out of many and that they affect little to no athletes. WRONG AGAIN! 1 athlete is 1 too many. That one athlete can have an effect on a whole team, a whole locker room, a whole roster spot, and a girl who has worked countless hours just to get to the point where she is now.
You tell people that in order to have a safe and inclusive space for everyone, they should allow men to compete in their sports and be able to walk into their locker rooms whenever they please. What a load of BS. Have you been in a locker room when this has happened to you? Because I HAVE!
To think that a paper as large as yours is too afraid to let a column run about a 17-year-old girl’s experience of having an 18-year-old man play against her girls’ basketball team and go into her locker room when she was 15 is cowardice. I will say it again—you are cowards.
Here is the reality of what is happening: “transgender women” are men, and they always will be. Let’s stop calling them women when we all know darn well that they are not. This is a LIE that I refuse to accept.
