Rioting is spreading across Europe too.
Could all these trends be related in some way? 🤔🇪🇺

European diesel prices are exploding, approaching $200/barrel...
Meanwhile, today's Eurostat report shows eurozone industrial production contracted another 1.1% yoy.
Germany's industrial production is already almost 10% below 2021 levels.
And now another massive energy shock is hitting Europe's already struggling industrial base.
Higher diesel prices mean higher transportation costs, higher production costs and ultimately higher inflation.
But companies can't simply pass on these costs indefinitely...
Margins get crushed, production gets cut, and more factories become uncompetitive.
In other words, Europe is facing another stagflationary shock.
The ECB can fight inflation by crushing demand via rate hikes even further worsening the deindustrialization trend and the sovereign debt crisis
Europe is fucked...

It’s interesting how this particular detail has largely disappeared from the media conversation since Reuters reported it in 2022. An American military reconnaissance aircraft flying within 4km of the Nord Stream explosion site on the very day of the sabotage is, at the very least, a remarkable coincidence.

The entire Arab world is currently rushing to send military aid to Saudi Arabia, including their own troops which will be used to fight Yemen. Yet apparently they were "too weak" to do this for Gaza. How much like good little US and "israeli" slaves they all are.

The danger for Brussels in confiscating Russian assets isn’t that investors will suddenly discover the EU dislikes Russia, it’s that they may conclude their own property rights depend upon the EU liking them.
I used to supervise Euroclear and Clearstream so this @FT story caught my attention. @MESandbu suggests Euroclear is too big to destabilise and Belgium is to small to bear the risks of $360 billion restoration costs if ever the Central Bank of the Russian Federation succeeds in regaining rights to frozen or expropriated assets - which it will regain in any settlement of the Ukraine war.
What he fails to address entirely is Rule of Law and Private Property Rights. Sure these are inconvenient to thieves, but they are essential to global securities markets. Securities are called securities because they convey secure property interests and claims to their owners at law.
What will destabilise Euroclear is global perception that $44 TRILLION in securities assets under custody are now UNSAFE because the EU can decide to steal them.
Also, it’s irritating to see him suggest ECB can force Euroclear ‘to split off the risky part of its balance sheet into a separate entity’. That is just another form of theft.
Euroclear is licensed as a bank, but its core business in its charter and under specific Belgian legislation is as a fiduciary or trustee of OTHER PEOPLES’ ASSETS. Because it is so central to European and global markets, it is forbidden to take normal commercial risks. Fiduciary, custodian, and trust assets under Euroclear custody are NOT on Euroclear’s balance sheet because 100% ownership remains with the depositors. Even if Euroclear goes bust, customer assets will NOT form any part of the insolvency estate and can be reclaimed by depositors.
I designed and modernised the laws protecting Euroclear and Clearstream depositors. I pray they withstand these lawless attacks by would-be thieves.
Break Rule of Law and Property Rights and you break global securities markets.

The Soviet Union did not collapse. It voluntarily dissolve.
All this "dysfunctioning" narrative was just the Bush era propaganda trying to circlejerk the Western population into thinking they won.
Reagan never dared to claim such
Soviet Union collapsed because no one was prepared to challenge the establishment from the inside and everyone inside had to keep cheerleading that the Soviet Union was powerful and successful. Anyone on the outside could see it was collapsing very rapidly.
The US is doing precisely what that Soviet Union did. Those inside the system will not challenge the establishment either becasue they are thoroughly brainwashed or out of fear of being cancelled and thrown to the wolves. Everyone inside the establishment continues to cheerlead the notion that the US empire is here to stay, exceptionalism reigns supreme, the dollar can't be challenged, we are the greatest military and economic / financial power in the world. Anyone looking in from the outside knows this is utter nonsense.
Rather like even the day before the Soviet Union collapsed the delusional cheerleading continued, the same will also happen in the US. In both cases they didn't and won't see the writing on the wall, 24 hours before it is officially over.

Fuel shortages are hitting Europe.
In certain regions of France, 25-50% of gas stations are out of stock of at least one type of fuel.
With ~600 stations completely out of fuel.
The national average surged from 13.5% on October 16 to 16.3% just 2 days later...
France's fuel crisis has gotten materially worse in just 48 hours.
Brace for inflation.

The revolution will make luxuries available to the masses. This is what the Soviet Union did with perfume, champagne, and caviar; and what China is doing with diamonds and truffles. I will not mourn the monopolists who mock the working class by cultivating a culture where consumption defines worth, while keeping the prize goods beyond reach.

You know what is really, truly funny about Turkey, Pakistan, and now Egypt going to war with the Axis of Resistance? You know what is really really funny about that?
I'll tell you: for 3 years, whoring establishment accounts from the Arab world have told us 'What do you want us to do? Do you want us to go to war?' when we said Arab countries must do SOMETHING to save Gaza.
For 3 years that was the unchanging tune: they were terribly frightened of the potential of war. For Gaza, they were pacifists (no one asked an Arab country to go to war with Israel; we just demanded they cut ties and make the collective Arab anger heard and felt).
But now - here's the kicker - those very countries will actually go to war but not against Israel, but FOR Israel.
And this is freaking hilarious, not only because of the screaming hypocrisy (which we always knew was there), but also because this mobilization for Zionism is going to prove the straw that broke the camel's back and finally thoroughly destabilize the Zionist-Western brothel in Arab lands, from Egypt to Morocco.
Are we going to enjoy this? Oh, so much fucking yes. A million times more yes than all the oil Trump imagines he has under his control and made the West rich at the expense of the rest of humanity
