The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (@DPIITGoI) – represented by Secretary Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh, Joint Secretary Shri Sanjiv Singh, and Director Shri Bejoy John – chaired a meeting between Mr Prashant Kumar Singh, Director and CEO of Government e-Marketplace (@GeM_India), Mr Sanjay Rakesh, MD and CEO of Common Services Centres (@CSCegov_ ) and ONDC.
In the meeting, ONDC was represented by Shri Shireesh Joshi (@shireeshjoshi) and T Koshy (@KoshyTK) and the aim was to further the democratisation of digital commerce in India. Sellers and vendors of GeM supported by CSC will now rapidly increase their market access by joining the open network.
CSC as a seller app is expected to onboard an extensive network of Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) and provide this diverse group of sellers the support they need to make the most of digital commerce through ONDC Network. CSC is also preparing to extend assisted buying services through an ONDC-enabled buyer application.
