Just watched The Substance, a film about a woman who buys something she doesn't need, does not follow its instructions, then repeatedly makes irritated phone calls to technical support.

can't say we didn't warn you

ALT Three quotations from the web game Fallen London, placed against a moody background of thousands of candles in a cavern. "This will begin a storyline that you will later greatly regret. Don't do it." "Playing this branch will give you an unsatisfying ending in another, as-yet-unwritten story. You will not know which story; it may not come out for months, or even years. This is permanent and irrevocable." "This is not a wise choice."

I bought my first GPS to collect data for @openstreetmap in the early years. It got pretty addictive adding streets to Edinburgh or anywhere else I visited. OpenStreetMap has grown into a fantastic and comprehensive global resource for creative projects.
Happy 20th Birthday OpenStreetMap!
"OpenStreetMap has grown exponentially or quadratically over the last twenty years depending on the metric you’re interested in . . . The story isn’t so much about the data and technology, and it never was. It’s the people. " --@stevec, reflecting on 20 years of OSM

Rivers of London RPG was such fun, collaborative work, created during some dark days. Thanks to @Ben_Aaronovitch, @CogsandCakes, @PaulFricker and the rest of the team who lightened up those calls. Thanks also to the playtesters who made the adventure as good as it could be.
