So let me get this straight, Piers—one unhinged guy commits a crime, and suddenly the entire “woke left” is to blame? That’s some Olympic-level mental gymnastics. By your logic, every crime committed by someone on the right should be stamped as “conservative terrorism,” but I don’t see you sprinting to make that headline.
Violence is violence, yes. But let’s not pretend Charlie Kirk’s rhetoric was harmless nursery rhymes either. Words do have consequences—that’s why demagogues use them. Stop acting like every tragedy is a discount coupon for your culture-war hot takes.

@elonmusk with all due respects, irrespective of how justified your arguments may be, name calling a UK minister and using to massive platform to troll her, in the process, putting her life at risk, is inappropriate and misguided. The child grooming issue is a criminal offence deserving of multiple years in prison, but the lackadaisical attitude towards enacting a viable policy for that can be blamed on the UK governments of the last 20 years, including the Conservative Party.
However misguided, @jessphillips decision to block the inquiry into child grooming was, she does not deserve the bullying and threats that would come as a result of your posting her name online.
