I served in the Army, so the national anthem carries a great deal of significance for me. I find it disappointing that both teams left the court before it was played, especially during the WNBA Finals. What's even more interesting is that the WNBA's own 2026 rulebook instructs players, coaches, and trainers to stand along the sidelines or foul line during the anthem. If this has become an accepted pregame routine, I'd like the league to explain why its published rules say otherwise. I'm not going to assume the players' intentions without hearing from them, but I don't think expecting professional athletes to observe the national anthem is an unreasonable standard.

The reason measles has become a problem again is because Joe Biden allowed millions of unvaccinated people across the border. These outbreaks started in migrant shelters. Nothing to do with Bobby Kennedy Jnr.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul has declared a statewide disaster emergency over a rapidly growing measles outbreak.
New York has confirmed 108 cases this year, including 92 since July 15.
Pennsylvania is dealing with an extraordinary outbreak: 1,004 confirmed cases so far this year.
For comparison, Pennsylvania recorded just 17 measles cases in all of 2019 and averaged only 4.4 cases a year from 2010ā2019.
The New York emergency expands access to MMR vaccinations and measles testing.
