Hi MR gurus.
We want high-res fMRI at approx 1 mm isotropic at 3T, with TR < 2 sec. No need whole-brain coverage. Which sequence would you recommend: 2D-SMS-EPI or 3D-EPI? I've seen abstracts and papers at 7T, but not at 3T @layerfMRI @Kamil_Toronto @HighOnField @garilerma

Population receptive field models have been successful in predicting fMRI responses in either spatial or temporal domains, but now there is also a spatiotemporal pRF model! Excited to share @insekim latest work, together with @garilerma and @kalatwt!

Have you ever wondered if the choice of the fMRI retinotopy stimulus has an impact on your pRF mapping results?
The answer is yes, it has a huge impact! Find out more in our paper: doi.org/10.1016/j.neuroimage…

Thank you for this highlight! For those who missed the weekend Tweeting, 😉 this study discovered robust striatum gradients using quantitative MRI. A similar gradient is then used for Parkinson's disease based on clinical data.

For 5 years @dora_hermes led us in an interesting analysis; she used fast acquisitions to measure spatially resolved cardiac-related responses across the cranium. The signals are strong and interpretable. These responses, often treated as noise, may become a useful signal.
Here is our new preprint about how cardiac pulsations affect fMRI signals. Measuring brain beats: cardiac-aligned fast fMRI signals: biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/… together with @BrianWandell, Hua Wu and @kerr_ab
