Sony is now asking PS5 players on firmware 14.00 to update to 14.10 if they want to use PSN. Players who stayed on 14.00 to keep the possibility of a future jailbreak are now being asked to update before they can sign in. And it’s not just PSN. Some players who stayed on 14.00 are now finding that newer games, like Dune: Awakening, won’t even let them play without updating.

When I met Angela Rayner to campaign for change to overly aggressive council tax debt collection, with its unprecedented rapid escalation to balliffs, she nodded like most politicians do. I explained it was destructive for individuals, councils and the economy. She listened more then said she'd change it. I was sceptical. Yet a consultation was launched within weeks and delightfully the change announced within 18mths (its in place from next April) - bullet train pace for politics. I've a rule that if I campaign for a politician (of any party) to do something, and they do it, I say thank you. Its important to recognise it. So thank you so much Angela Rayner for listening and more importantly acting. The changes coming are a great start.
I promised we'd make council tax fairer, and I’m getting on with the job. Too many working people have seen council tax debt spiral before they had the chance to get help. That's why we're introducing more time to pay, clearer warnings if you miss a payment and more support from councils. Thanks to @MartinSLewis and @mmhpi for their tireless campaigning to make this change happen. Here's everything you need to know ⬇️

I want to be honest about how we’ve got to a place where British billpayers are paying some of the highest energy costs in Europe. Over the past 40 years, we’ve given up control of our necessities, outsourced our essentials and privatised the basics. Water, transport, housing. And of course, energy. Now the public are paying the price. We haven’t invested in the infrastructure we need. Conflict overseas has pushed up energy costs and it’s hurting our businesses and families. That’s why we need to take back greater control of our energy system. This week, I announced Great British Grid, which will speed up connections and push down bills. We’re also giving mayors, local leaders and communities a stronger role. With funding for People’s Power projects, communities will be able to build solar panels on libraries and town halls, hydro schemes in rivers or publicly owned windfarms on local land. But it’s not just energy we need stronger public control over. It’s also water, housing, transport and care. So we’re repealing the ban on public ownership of water companies. We’re building more council homes than this country has seen since the end of World War Two. We’re reforming the leasehold system so families aren’t squeezed for every penny. And we’re opening up home ownership for first time buyers who can’t rely on the bank of mum and dad. This week I also announced my determination to introduce a National Care Service, to put people above profit and to give pensioners peace of mind. Together, we’ll rewire the country from top to bottom so that it works for all people in all places. That is the only way to put Britain back on the right path. It’s the only way to put power back in people’s hands. And it’s the only way we will bring hope again.

I wanted to explain to you directly my announcement on creating a National Care Service and the triple lock. Fundamental change is needed to protect the NHS and give older people the support they need. At Labour conference, I announced a plan to create a National Care Service in the next parliament. To fund it, I am proposing an adjustment to the triple lock on the state pension. This will form the basis of a new settlement for older people in our country. I want to explain why this is necessary and what it would mean for pensioners. Everyone knows that our social care system is broken. And yet, for decades, politicians have failed to fix it. Shamefully, millions of older people have unmet care needs. Far too many see everything they have worked for – their home, pension and savings – wiped out by care bills. The personal cost can be devastating, but we should not make the mistake of thinking the price is paid only by older people and their families. I am convinced that if we carry on as we are, our broken social care system will eventually break our NHS too. Every day, older people who should be receiving support at home or in care settings are unnecessarily admitted to A&E. Meanwhile, hospital beds are occupied by people who are fit to leave but have nowhere to go because the care they need is not in place. Go to any hospital and you will see the effect. Corridor care is no longer simply the result of winter pressures. It is a commonplace indignity suffered by thousands of patients every day. It is time for fundamental change. The best chance we have of saving our NHS is to build a high-quality care service. The National Care Service I am proposing will be based on NHS principles: everyone contributes and everyone is covered. It will give people peace of mind about their care needs and protect what they have built up over their lifetime. It will provide free personal care – support with the most basic human needs: eating, dressing and bathing. And it will be integrated with the rest of the system, preventative in nature, and deliver care at home wherever possible, exactly where older people want and should be. A National Care Service, I believe, would become as significant as the creation of the NHS itself. But we need to be honest about the changes that are needed to pay for it. And I do not believe it makes sense to preserve the current triple lock while so many pensioners face the risk of catastrophic care costs. We can give pensioners greater financial security. I am proposing to adjust the triple lock. This is not an easy decision, but I believe it is the right one. We pledged in our manifesto that we would keep the triple lock throughout this parliament, and I will keep that promise. This means the state pension is set to rise by more than £2,000 a year, reaching around 30 per cent of average earnings by the end of the decade – its highest ever level. From April 2030, under our adjusted triple lock, we will guarantee that the state pension rises every year by either inflation or 2.5 per cent, whichever is higher. It will also increase by more than this when necessary to ensure that it holds its value relative to average earnings. This means that if inflation spikes, pensioners will be protected. If wages rise, pensioners will share in that rising prosperity, with the state pension tracking earnings over time. Nobody’s pension will ever go down. And the state pension will be put on a sustainable footing for decades to come. I want to be upfront about what I am proposing because this adjustment will bring change. The state pension will not increase as quickly as it otherwise would if we kept the triple lock in its current form. However, the adjustment will enable us to fix social care for everyone by building a National Care Service that provides older people with free personal care at the point of need. I believe this is a better deal for pensioners. I do not expect people to support this plan without seeing the full detail. We will start laying the ground now for the National Care Service and introduce it as soon as possible in the next parliament. Louise Casey’s review will advise us on exactly how and we will build the maximum consensus around her recommendations. It will be fully funded – and not through borrowing. I appeal to everyone to engage in this debate responsibly and urge politicians to continue the cross-party talks that began over the summer. We need less point scoring and more problem solving. The situation is too serious for us to play politics. Care workers struggling on low pay, families stretched to breaking point, older people fearful of losing everything they have worked for. We need to give them reason to hope again. I have wanted to fix social care for a long time. As health secretary in 2009, I tried to find a cross-party solution. Since then, I have watched the challenges grow more acute and the consequences become more severe. It is a profound failure of politics that we have known about this problem for so long and yet failed to act. I would never forgive myself if I did not try now. This is the settlement I am offering to pensioners: a state pension that rises every year, no care charges and a high-quality National Care Service to give peace of mind in later life. I do not pretend this will be easy. But in the end, politics is about finding a way. I gave my word that I would do everything in my power to build a care system worthy of the people who provide it and all those who depend on it. This is how we can achieve it.

Want to know how you're hurting PlayStation? Sales are only part of PlayStation's revenue, another part is exclusive marketing partnerships with 3rd party studios where they get a higher take on the sale and of MTX revenue. Now due to players frying every post and trailer, and these guys just not agreeing with what Sony is doing. A lot of them are avoiding them like the plague, don't want their games to be associated with them due to them being a PR nightmare, and that revenue is going to dry up.
John Linneman of Digital Foundry says publishers and developers are unhappy with Sony’s push toward a disc-less PlayStation future. “They were largely very upset. A lot of these companies see a lot of return, in fact a majority, through physical sales. … The industry side of things is not positive.” Washington Post journalist also said he was glad to see more people confirming the concerns, adding: “these are not just ‘rumors’” Now let’s see if more people start talking about this

Some people have literally gone crazy. On the left is a head messed up by the game engine’s very limited lighting system, which can’t properly render shadows, skin texture, and the detail of normal maps. On the right is THE SAME MODEL WITHOUT ANY GEOMETRY CHANGES, which looks exactly like a render from ZBrush—where a 3D artist modeled it—only with better lighting, shadows, skin texture, hair, and therefore DETAILS. Thanks to neural network rendering in DLSS5. Some random nutcase on the internet: THIS IS AI SLOP! I WANT THE ORIGINAL ARTISTIC VISION! The head models were 3D scanned (using photogrammetry) from real people and then polished by artists. I am the creative director of the game. This is our original artistic vision and looks like static renders of the models from Zbrush when we made them. Or like real @thisistommckay :) Having no shadows from helmets on faces and fucked up normal map rendering WAS NOT OUR ORIGINAL ARTISTIC VISION. People are crazy.

REPORT: PlayStation is claimed to be considering delaying their digital-only future because XBOX is willing to go physical next generation🚀 ✅Microsoft is allegedly telling publishers its next console, Project Helix will be entirely physical and will allow users to convert physical games into digital copies. ✅Sony reportedly realized that forcing a digital-only approach leaves a massive opening for competitors to capitalize on consumer demand for physical games. ✅A major unnamed game publisher (confirmed not to be Rockstar) reportedly threatened to skip PlayStation and release their massive upcoming title only on XBOX and Nintendo if Sony couldn't guarantee a physical release. GRAND THEFT AUTO VI'S EXTENDED LOOK WAS A DISAPPOINTMENT. HERE'S WHY: You don't open an extended look for the most anticipated game in history with... an apartment scene. You don't spend cutscene after cutscene when the city is your main character. You don't spend more time showing the most boring party ever depicted in a video game instead of touring the Everglades. You don't waste precious time waiting for elevators rather than showing how the cop chase system works. You don't waste time on dialogue that no one cares about instead of showing Ammu-Nation, Cluckin' Bell, the radio stations, the shops and everything that built the GTA franchise. Players wanted to see more of Leonida, more activities, the map, the systems, the cars, the helicopters, the planes... But Rockstar decided to show... dialogue, for the most part. GTA fans deserve better.

No habrá negociaciones privadas. No habrá acuerdos silenciosos.
