For all my criticism and frustration over the years, I genuinely wish Bryan and Mike the best with Avatar Studios. Avatar: The Last Airbender means the world to me, and I hope they come out swinging, prove people/me wrong, and deliver stuff worthy of the legacy they created.

Seven Havens isn't even in Paramount+'s Top 10. Avatar should be holding #1 for at least a week. Between this and the negative reception online, I think it's becoming increasingly clear that Avatar Studios is falling well short of expectations. The show fucking blows.

I genuinely want to like Seven Havens. I've always had my issues with The Legend of Korra, particularly its writing, storytelling, and characterization, and I've come to accept that the franchise will never recapture what made ATLA what it was. Even the Aang movie has issues.

Do I love the show right now? No. I have plenty of issues with it, both artistically and in terms of writing. But I do like that i can't predict it. I genuinely find that extremely interesting, and maybe that'll be enough to keep me invested.

I'm not going to drop it. Avatar is still Avatar at the end of the day, and if I stuck with Korra, I don't see why I'd stop here... 😭 And i also like Pavi, so that's a plus.

It doesn’t matter what they poured into the series If it looks bad, it looks like bad. A baseball player could spend his whole life training, just to have a terrible season. He played horribly, regardless of how hard he worked. If people don’t like the animation, especially when compared to a show from the same franchise almost 2 decades ago, they don’t like the animation. It looks terrible compared to the 2 shows we’ve had + the movie. It’s 2026. Things should be better, not worse.

Guys, the animation took a nose dive for Seven Havens. If you think this looks acceptable i don't know what to tell you. Korra for all it's flaws (many) was a FAR MORE ambitious looking production than this. This looks like something Netflix would dump on their platform.

I'm willing to (and will) give new things a shot, always. New directions, new styles. But at what point do we all recognize the difference between something new and something that just doesn't work? Something goes too far? Deviates too much? Takes a leap that doesn't pay off?

I'm going to be at NYCC tomorrow for the Avatar Seven Havens panel. I want this to be good despite me not liking Korra. I'm willing to accept some things just aren't going to be what they were. I liked one clip they released the other day but not the one from today.

They really are trying to retcon the Blue Spirit into a heroic persona rather than an alias Zuko made up to do shameful things like stealing. I’m outright skipping. I’m tired of pointless filler that only undermines the show characters.
