Not the biggest fan of Colbert, but this was pretty punk rock, especially the last 5 minutes. 🤘🏻
Watch it before it gets taken down, apparently CBS is issuing mass takedown orders on this episode of public access community tv.

Some falsebeliefs that are hurting the Democratic Party:
1) Republicans are better at messaging bc their audience is dumb.
2) Republicans are better at keeping together their coalition because the Democratic coalition is more "diverse."
The reality is that Democrats back opaque, convoluted, marginal policy ideas because the straightforward, popular policies like Medicare for All, a living wage, tax the rich, are opposed by their donor base. The inverse conservative policies (cut taxes/cut government) can be said straightforwardly because those policies are in line with what the corporate donor base both parties share support.
Democrats sound convoluted not because their policies are "smarter," but because they have to employ more sophistry to do their donor's bidding while not upsetting the base. They have to use rotating villain voting + the filibuster + rely on executive vetos + sunsetting popular policies like the child tax credit in order to make sure nothing they *say* they want sticks.
To point #2: This is so racist is wrong. There is very little "diversity" of opinion among the issues that ALL Americans-- not just the Dem base -- want. Medicare for all is an 88% issue among Dems, and 49% among Republicans. The overwhelming majority of Americans want it. Dems blaming "diversity" for not running on popular, economic populist policies is wrong and downright hateful.

Until Democrats stop supporting Israel, they are not the “lesser” evil. They are just the other evil.
Grok being based AF defending the core philosophy of socialism and saying Elon’s post is full of 💩 hahahahah!
The bootlickers in the comments losing their minds is *chef’s kiss* amazing.
We cannot have sustainable energy because it threatens the oil industry. We cannot have healthcare because it threatens insurance. We cannot have peace because it threatens the weapons industry. Capitalism built a system where doing the right thing is treated like bad business.
You do not earn a billion dollars. You steal it. Nobody works a billion times harder than a nurse, a teacher, or a farmer. That money comes from underpaying the people who actually did the work. Stop worshipping hoarders who are just really good at wage theft.
Same as it ever was. Sigh.
Dems have been playing this same simple game for years with their gullible followers. They pretend to want something their "base" wants, but always manage to fall a few votes short. Gosh darn! Vote Dem next time and we'll get it for you! I wrote in 2010:

HOLD UP...is this Kamala saying we should be transactional and demand something in exchange for our votes?????
I remember myself and others getting attacked by Democratic Party shills, fanatics and K-Hive cult members for demanding tangibles in 2023-24. How the tables turn.

Democrats when they’re out of power: “we can’t do anything”
Democrats when they control the presidency, judiciary, and have enough votes in Congress to pass legislation everyone wants: “ok, crazy story, there is this guy, you’ve never heard of him, he’s called parliamentarian…”

It's not about "principles."
Ben Shaprio said "Arabs like to live in open sewage"—Newsom welcomed him
Kirk called Black women intellectually inferior—Newsom welcomed him
Rogan & Maher drop the N-word with impunity & praise Trump—Corporate Dems go on their shows without delay
Liz Cheney is pro Iraq War, voted against ERA, Equality Act, Voting Rights, Repro rights, Minimum Wage increase—she got to campaign with Harris
You don't need to defend Piker to recognize this absurd & racist hypocrisy.

Attention to my fellow tradesmen.
Stop building the data centers. You are literally building the end of humanity.
Stop it now.

The new talking points just dropped.
The ‘elect progressives’ project is a psy op- just enough appeasement to prevent a revolt. These politicians are pressure valves. Their elections feel like earthquakes but they’re designed to release tectonic pressure.
These progressives are reframing ‘end US complicity in genocide’ to ‘Israel should pay for its own genocide.’
They’re creating a new Overton window that still allows them to be re elected without offering meaningful and principled critique of Israel and the US empire.
The Israeli government is well able to fund the Iron Dome system, which has proven critical to keep innocent civilians safe from rocket attacks and bombardment.
Consistent with my voting record to date, I will not support Congress sending more taxpayer dollars and military aid to a government that consistently ignores international law and U.S. law.
Netanyahu’s allies in the Knesset just approved a $45 billion defense budget, and the Prime Minister himself also asserted his interest in withdrawing from the MOU with the United States in January. It is fully within their ability to fund Iron Dome and other defensive systems.
Our allies who need our military aid must understand that we will provide it consistent with the Leahy amendment and the foreign assistance act.

This is insane. 59 million family caregivers provided 49.5 billion hours of unpaid care in a single year, with a total value of $1.01 trillion, according to the AARP. These Americans carry our system on their backs, but their labor is uncompensated and treated as invisible.
