Last year, the organisers of the Indian Diwali festival in Mernda, Melbourne were found dumping their rubbish into the river to dispose of it.
When approached by the council they explained that they didn't know that it was wrong as thats what they do in India.
Since last year's rubbish dumping issue, there still hasn’t been a public apology so the community are still pretty angry & upset.
Pretty sure if a scrap of trash is left behind this time, the backlash will be so much worse.
Rubbish goes in the bin, it’s not that hard 🤨
