ALT First Ink, the new YA imprint at Macmillan Children's Books, has signed two books by Camille Chong. Publishing director Emma Jones pre-empted world all language rights, excluding the US and Canada, from Lucy Irvine at Peters Fraser and Dunlop. The first title, Love, Gods and Sinners, will be out in hardback in summer 2026, followed by the second novel in 2027. Love, Gods and Sinners tells the story of two teens, descended from gods, who must choose between love and loyalty. The enemies-to-lovers urban fantasy is set in a glittering, fantastical Singapore, where humans are born with ancient magic into a polarised near-future society. Chong said: "I grew up wanting this story -an action movie, accessible fantasy, and vividly queer rom-com rolled into one-and it's been my greatest fortune to work with Emma and the rest of the wonderful First Ink team to realise this dream."
