Dear young people,
Nobody warns you how quiet ruin is.
It never arrives with sirens or a sudden collapse. It shows up disguised as comfort. It arrives in the invitations you were too weak to decline, the discipline you delayed until "next Monday," and the rooms full of people who laughed with you while silently anchoring you to the floor.
Remember this rule, carved into every regret I have ever witnessed:
Easy choices lead to an excruciating life.
Difficult choices build an untouchable life.
The hard path is painful upfront. Waking up when it hurts. Holding standards when everyone around you is taking shortcuts. Choosing focus over cheap dopamine. But that pain expires—and it leaves behind freedom, clarity, and peace.
The easy path gives you instant pleasure, but charges interest forever.
And look closely at the hands currently shaping your future. The people around you are not neutral bystanders; they are either elevating your ceiling or normalizing your drift. If your circle makes discipline feel awkward and mediocrity feel comfortable, you do not have friends—you have an alibi.
Your future isn’t an accident waiting to happen. It is the mathematical sum of what you refuse to compromise on today.
Choose hard now. Or regret will choose it for you later.

Every human being has equal value. Every single one.
At the United Nations General Assembly, I challenged a world that still decides whose lives deserve protection and whose suffering can be ignored.
No race is superior. No people are disposable. Until we honour that truth, "everywhere is war" remains a warning we have failed to heed.
What the world needs now is love, with the courage to confront injustice and defend our shared humanity.
Love and a little kindness. For everyone.

If it looks like an Amazon delivery and drives like an Amazon delivery, then it's an Amazon delivery, right? Not according to Amazon.
Big companies like Amazon have built a vast network of subcontractors who deliver their packages while shielding them from accountability.
It leaves our workers unprotected and our streets less safe. It's time for a change.
I'm proud to support the Delivery Protection Act to crack down on exploitative subcontracting and build an economy that works for everyone.

Wueh… I just sat down and read this Tertiary Education Bill 2026 from top to bottom, and it'snot what was mostly sold.🚨
Ruto stood on that podium and looked us dead in the eye, promising every child full funding for university.(free university)
“Background will not matter,” he said. “Every qualified student will get full support.”
Kenyans clapped. Parents sighed in relief. Students celebrated.
Then you open the actual Bill…
Clause 44 says the whole Fund is mainly for loans which we can say ok.
Clause 49(1) forces you to start paying principal + interest within one year of finishing.
Clause 49(4) allows them to take up to 25% of your salary. If you add other deductions like nssf etc you are finished.
Clause 30(d) lets them set any interest rate they want - no limit. And this is bad. It means the CS can increase interest rates to any amount.
Clause 60 makes the debt last forever. They can chase your grandchildren. They intend to remove something important using this clause
Clause 30(k) gives them power to walk into private companies and inspect like police. They are to have Quasi police type of powers
This is not free education. This is HELB on steroids, with sharper teeth.
TEFA is just HELB rebranded (Clauses 64–67).
They sold us a dream and wrote a debt sentence.
Where exactly in this Bill is education free? Show me the clause. I’m waiting. Also its not a guarantee all students will even qualify.
Parents, students, wake up.

ANOTHER VICTORY FOR THE CONSTITUTION AND THE PEOPLE OF KENYA
Fellow Kenyans,
Today, the High Court has reaffirmed a simple but powerful constitutional truth. Public office is not a shield against accountability. Public information belongs to the people, and every State officer has a duty to uphold transparency, accountability, and the rule of law. The court found that my constitutional right to access information held by the Busia County Government had been violated. Judgement in Omtatah v @HonOtuoma issued on 27.07.2026 by the High Court at Vihiga. NO PUBLIC OFFICE IS ABOVE THE CONSTITUTION
This case has never been about personalities. It has always been about protecting public resources, defending the Constitution, and ensuring that no public institution operates in secrecy. The judgment sends a clear message that openness, public participation, and constitutional governance are not optional. They are legal obligations.
I welcome this decision as a victory for every Kenyan who believes that public power must always remain subject to public scrutiny. Our commitment to defending the Constitution remains unwavering. We will continue to pursue accountability lawfully, fearlessly, and without compromise. #ReKe #GetitDone

Replying to @PLPartyKenya
@PLPartyKenya Secretary General Asha Bashir spoke a truth very plainly: imetosha!
Sixteen years since Kenyans fought for a Constitution that guaranteed the protection of women and children and the government still treats that guarantee as a work in progress.
We are not asking for a new promise, that promise was already made in Article 29, in the blood and sweat of everyone who fought for the document we now hold. What is missing is the will to enforce it.
A mandate written into our founding document is a duty. Sixteen years of waiting is enough. It is time to #ActNowToEndGBV.

It has taken 7 years and 10 months, 42 prosecution witnesses, and 81 exhibits presented by the ODPP for justice for Sharon Otieno to finally arrive.
Today, as Sharon's family sat in court to hear the verdict, we were reminded of the immense cost of justice delayed.
While we commend the prosecution, justice must not take nearly a decade. Across Kenya, from young girls to grandmothers, women continue to be lost to a horrific wave of femicide.
Our police, ODPP, and courts must bring the same rigor, urgency, and commitment to every case. not only those that attract national attention. We must all to our part to end the killing of women.

Burkinabé students now need government permission to study abroad. This means that whether your father is a cabinet minister or a private millionaire, there is no way for their children to escape the state of the country's educational system
Which leaves them no choice but to make sure that the facilities available to students in the country are befitting of their own children.
That is how a country develops an actual elite. Not like Nigeria where as soon as I finished secondary school, my parents put me on a plane to England to enjoy a standard of education that no Nigerian alive today will ever enjoy in Nigeria. The class my parents belong to is called a pseudo-elite.
A proper elite is what is coming together now in the AES. Just wait. If there is no change of Nigeria's trajectory, within 10 years, Nigerians will start going to university in Burkina Faso and making it out to be a status symbol.
Burkina Faso Introduces Approval For Foreign Study
Burkina Faso has introduced a new policy requiring all students; whether government-sponsored or private, to obtain government approval before studying abroad.
Aimed at aligning overseas training with the nation's development priorities and workforce needs, this measure seeks to boost local education quality by encouraging investment in domestic institutions.

UPDATE
We can confirm that Presidential Aspirant and Senior Counsel Martha Karua has departed Entebbe and is en route to Nairobi following her detention and denial of entry by Ugandan authorities earlier today.
Members of the media are invited to a press briefing at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) at 4:00 PM upon her arrival, where she will address the circumstances surrounding her detention, denial of entry, and subsequent release.
The incident raises serious questions about the observance of the rule of law and the state of democratic freedoms within the East African Community.
Further details will be provided at the briefing.

Reports that Hon. Martha Karua was denied entry into Uganda and detained at Entebbe Airport are deeply concerning.
At the heart of this matter are basic democratic principles: due process, access to legal counsel, freedom of movement, and respect for the rule of law.
Legal professionals and democratic actors must be able to carry out their work without intimidation.
We call for clarity, transparency and full respect for the rights of all persons involved.

So, collapse your emotions, good or bad about the 2 presidents. This is a masterclass in strategic communications by Cyril Ramaphosa. He doesn't mention Ruto or his decision to bend to the USA on Ebola. He doesn't criticize the decision but instead, expertly demonstrates a better strategy deployed by RSA. He doesn't need to say "We are concerned that Kenya blah blah blah." But with Ruto standing right there he gives case studies of South Africa's pan African response to Ebola - financial investment, sharing expertise and must importantly, protecting those on African soil from the pandemic. The opposite of what Kenya is doing. And he highlighted this contrast emphatically by focusing on what RSA is doing. Nice example for a strategic comms lecturer to use. How do you expose a disagreement without saying "You are wrong and I disapprove of your methods." Nice.
President Cyril Ramaphosa: On Ebola, South Africa has made a contribution of five million dollars to the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (AUCDC).
