Scenes from @Hacktoberfest Hack Day Mumbai x FAIR -- the unorthodox edition of GRYD’s Road to @EFDevcon campaign! ⚡️
A day full of rigorous hacking, session featuring web3 CROPS primitives & Devcon, open-source & open-weight AI session, mentoring, shipping PRs, and incredible community vibes, truly embodying this year's theme: AI Belongs to Everyone.
Thank you to all the builders, co-speaker/mentor/judge @ChinmayiDS, the hosts @n4bi10p, @GPUtiful, @Paris2_9, and the entire @fair_communityy team for having us to speak, mentor, judge and making this edition unforgettable!

Sidequesting as a speaker, mentor and judge at the @Hacktoberfest Hack Day Mumbai by @FAIR_communityy...
Show up for the CROPS primitives, the foundation of AI + web3 convergence and leave with an absolute fomo for the @EFDevcon!
See you in T-9:

Stop relearning your stack just to build onchain!
PlugPort is the Web3 port for the database tools you already use. Connect seamlessly via:
• MongoDB
• PostgreSQL / MySQL
• Redis / SQLite
• HTTP
The unified layer maps it all to verifiable storage.
Limited-time testnet access is live: testnet.plugport.wtf
Familiar DB Drivers, Cryptographic Trust.

One
- port for the database tools developers already know
- underlying store
- place to query, verify, secure, and observe data
It’s about time the pieces connect!
Different protocols at the edge.
One shared model underneath.
Mongo-ready. SQL-ready. Redis-ready.
The adapter layer is the clue!
The best infra migrations are
- boring for developers
- invisible to users
Underneath, everything can change. On the surface, nothing should!
That's stability.
The cloud bill is the easy number to track.
But the migration time, duplicated tooling, integration work, and the on-call surface you inherit rarely make it to the spreadsheet.
We're building around that hidden tax.
Every new data interface brings its own connector, dashboard, runbook, and failure mode
Adding one more tool is easy ... Running all of them together for years is where production systems actually bleed time!
Fast is a moving target …
It shows up
- as latency under real load
- as predictable queries
- as how many layers sit between your app and its data
We're rebuilding that path altogether ⚓️
Growth should increase the dynamic usage, not the number of systems your product has to hold together!
What if scaling the product did not mean fragmenting the stack?

Had to no plans for Sunday... 🥱
To tackle boredom, decided to team up with @mikeystwt to hack in @monad Blitz Mumbai, co-organised by @weareWeb3Mumbai
It all started from a question by @Shadow7Ash on how to make a web2 project a web3-native one
Made something which unlocks web3 for millions of developers with the help of MonadDB and parallelised throughput
Here is what we built in barely 6 hours:
- Fully MongoDB compatible Wire Protocol server which anyone can use (until the testnet MONs in the Gas Station runs out!) Server endpoint: plugportserver-production.up…
- Full-fledged CLI & 3 SDKs: NodeJS, Python & Go: github.com/PlugPort-Protocol…
- Demo dashboard for manual r/w and monitoring: plugport.wtf/
This is a freeware version of the MongoDB interface for MonadDB for the hackathon level implementation but here is what we are gonna build further:
- Tier-based subscriptions based on planned GTM strategy (protected by BSL 1.1 license)
- Hybrid web2+web3 user login provisions with isolated configurable private/public databases
- Publishing of all the SDKs to the corresponding package managers
- Agentic intent to auto-refill the Gas Station from the generated revenue
- Expansion to support other databases ... MongoDB is just a start 🤠
Please try out @gPlugPort before Gas Station runs out - eager to receive feedback
