I interviewed the two directors of the documentary now dominating the discourse. I am talking of course about Addison Henderson and Kevin Polowy, who made JUST ONE BEFORE I DIE, the Tubi series about Buffalo Bills fandom.

The Devils re-release doubled the box office of Digger on a fraction of the screens, and it's biggest marketing cost was allegedly the $600 billboard (which is probably not true, but...). Even with the costs of the restoration, striking prints, staff overhead, it's a big win.

"THE WIND was my most uncomfortable experience in pictures" - Lilian Gish. Here's her introduction to this film from the Laserdisc release. Gish was in her late 90s when this was filmed, yet remained incredibly sharp.

One of Lillian Gish’s best performances was in ‘The Wind’ (1928), where Victor Sjöström makes the wind a constant presence that slowly wears her down, and she doesn’t need a single line of dialogue to show it, because her eyes say it all. A masterpiece of silent cinema.
