🚨 Job vacancies have dropped to their lowest level in 12 years outside the pandemic.
Businesses can’t afford to hire, with 176,000 fewer jobs available than when Labour took office.
This is what happens when you attack employers, tax jobs, and put up red tape.

Building anything in our country is way too expensive and it takes too long.
To open a 3.3 mile railway line to Bristol, it took 79,187 pages of planning documents. That's 14.6 miles of paperwork, stacked end to end.
Kemi is spot on. We have to get Britain building again.

Small businesses can’t afford to hire.
Why? Labour’s taxes and red tape.
We would cut taxes on small businesses and roll-back job destroying regulations.
But no need to wait - the Chancellor should do that at this Budget.
We’ve published the latest labour market figures.
Commenting on today’s figures, ONS Deputy Director of Labour Market Statistics, David Freeman said 💬

ALT “While the labour market remains broadly flat in 2026, data from the latest quarter shows the employment rate edging up and a small drop in unemployment. The number of workers on payroll remains slightly down over the same period, though data for the most recent month suggests that might be starting to level off. ❌ The Planning Inspectorate said ‘refuse it’.
❓ Ofgem said ‘consider the alternative route’
😡 Labour’s Energy Secretary said ‘I know it will cause a lot of harm, but I’m approving it anyway’

❌ Labour hiked jobs tax & destroyed jobs for young people.
❌ Labour MPs blocked any cut to benefits spending.
Youth unemployment went up 174k. Yes, it’s a moral failure Mr Burnham 🤦🏻♂️
✅ We will cut NI for under 25’s and cut benefits for those who can but won’t work.

Labour’s answer to everything? More tax.
Ours? Back the businesses keeping our high streets alive and make it cheaper to give young people their first jobs.

Cliveden House burnt down in 1849. The architect behind Parliament rebuilt it in two years.
Now, Parliament has spent over a decade just planning its own repairs.
What happened to the country that built things? 👇

Young people should hear about what they can do, not what they can't.
The next Conservative government will help them into work, not leave them signing on the moment they leave school.

174,000 more young people wake up without a job under Labour.
The Chancellor should use his Budget to show he’s on their side.
Cut national insurance for 21-24 year olds and scrap business rates for struggling high street shops.

🚨 The City doesn't have faith in John Healey.
Investors are voting with their wallets because Labour refuse to rule out another tax raid or get a grip on debt.
Another deeply concerning vote of no confidence in Labour's Britain.

🚨 Labour has lost the trust of small businesses.
Sadly, no surprise.
They have been hammered – from the Jobs Tax to endless red tape.
As Chancellor, I’ll back our risk-takers and job creators.
We’ll scrap business rates for thousands of high street firms, repeal the job-killing measures in Angela Rayner’s Unemployment Act, replace Making Tax Difficult and cut energy costs.
We are the only party with a serious plan to back our small businesses.

John Healey reportedly wants to help small businesses at the Budget. New polling by @OpiniumResearch for @CPSThinkTank shows they definitely need it!
Opinium polled 500 SMEs bosses across the UK. Overwhelmingly, they felt govt wasn't on their side. But help do they need? (1/?)

A powerful intervention from the head of the Army. Something is coming, and government needs to wake up.
He says the public will have to make sacrifices so we can prioritise defence and security.
This is no time for “national security can’t come at the expense of social security”. Hard choices are coming whether ministers like it or not.
I have been clear where I would start: cut welfare spending and put the money into defence.

I asked John Healey to rule out an exit tax. He refused, saying he couldn't comment on speculation.
But this week, he ruled out another tax rise. Why was that different?
Worries about an exit tax are already costing Britain. Chris Rokos — who paid more than £300m in tax last year — has left. Others are following.
Rokos paid as much in tax as 38,000 average taxpayers, and he could take his company and all of the tax his employees pay with him.
The Chancellor must act now. So why is he willing to rule out other tax rises but not this one?
On 12 September, I asked the Chancellor to rule out an exit tax. He refused, claiming the Government ‘does not comment on rumour and speculation’.
Ok... But this week his own officials DID comment on "rumour and speculation" to rule out other tax rises. Why? What changed?
Clearly he could now end this damaging speculation by ruling out an exit tax, so I have written to him again urging him to do so. 👇
John Healey's mismanagement is already damaging our country. The uncertainty and fear of tax rises mean more of Britain’s biggest taxpayers will leave, jeopardising public services and increasing borrowing. He must act now.

Stephen Kinnock’s claim that there were no boat people because we were in the European Union is a straightforward lie. Illegal immigrants flooded in by lorry, train and cars. They disappeared into towns/cities and couldn’t be properly counted. When advances in technology made these methods of transport much harder to use the illegal migrants took to boats, courtesy of the people smugglers. Since the boats are usually interdicted on arrival the counting is easier. Nothing to do with being in or out of the EU.
