Shane Gillis somehow managed to make a lot of unfunny people funny. These reaction videos are hilarious. ๐
In my district public school students are funded to the tune of roughly $13,100 per year. EdChoice students receive a voucher for about $8,400, yet my kidsโ private school manages to get by. Most of the students could NEVER attend private school without EdChoice.
Itโs not unconstitutional. This is an attempt by Democrats and public school unions to work around the will of Ohio voters because they know EdChoice has been popular. Also note these โunderfundedโ students still receive a lot more funding than voucher students.
Democrats in Ohio are working hard to tell families they canโt choose the best schools for their children.
UNANIMOUS. ๐ Ohioโs appeals court has upheld the ruling that EdChoice, as structured and funded, is UNCONSTITUTIONAL.
And YES, this is a PROPERTY TAX issue. When the state prioritizes private school vouchers while underfunding public schools, local taxpayers are left picking up the tab through greater reliance on property taxes.
Want meaningful property tax relief? Tell the Republican Supermajority in the Statehouse to FINISH the Fair School Funding Plan AND update the cost inputs still stuck at 2022 figures!
Fund todayโs classrooms with todayโs costs.

Ohio's EdChoice scholarship program remains in place as this case continues to move through the courts.
Sad to see so much public time and money wasted in an attempt to take away educational options from families.

Donโt worry, school choice friends. The Ohio Supreme Court will likely correct this error.
BREAKING: An Ohio appellate court has ruled that the EdChoice voucher program, which uses taxpayer dollars to fund private school tuition, is unconstitutional.
The program can continue, as judges expect the state to appeal.

Have been a member of the @whca almost continuously since the 1990s. Our mission is to defend the First Amendment rights of White House correspondents to report on the president without fear or favor. Unfortunately last night did not advance that cause. Time to rethink the dinner.
Journalists covering the White House suggest that an opportunity for the President of the United States to express his opinions about the press should be shut down... for free speech or something.
Last night's awkwardness at the @WHCA dinner has some attendees suggesting it shouldn't happen next year...
