No. Didn’t decide to just leave. Worked tirelessly for two years building on a project that never managed to sell out, while delivering on the roadmap. Got burned out in the process, couldn’t pay my bills, and accumulated debt because I believed. It’s time to let go

🧵 My Journey as an NFT Project Creator: Navigating Burnout 💔 👋 It's time to get real and share my experience as an NFT project creator. 🎢💡 It's been a rollercoaster ride filled with highs and lows, and I want to open up about my struggles with burnout. Here's my story: 👇

😌 "Burnout is what happens when you try to avoid being human for too long." – Michael Gungor 🤔 Let's embrace our humanity, be kind to ourselves, and allow room for imperfections. #BeKindToYourself

To everyone who bought a fuzziemint, we are so thankful to you, and also so sorry that this didn't turn out well for you. We tried. We did our best to make it work. But it wasn't meant to be.

We also truly believe in the power of blockchain and web3 brands, and that this is the future.

We are grateful for the wonderful people who we met and for the ones who believed in us. Maybe fuzziemints can still spread positivity every day, through social media content. But that's all the energy and time that we can put into this right now.

We are probably in limbo. We don't have the heart to take down our website or twitter or smartcontract. Maybe we still expect miracles. But we are stopping any further work on delivering on roadmap 2.0 which included our p2e game, and AR storybooks, and a whole fuzzie universe.

These lessons and this thread is a bit tongue-in-cheek. We are trying to feel better about our failure with poorly placed humor. What's next for fuzzies? Are we ded?

Lesson 5- Don't live in a far off place. If you can't attend live events, network with other NFT peeps or get to know the influencers face to face, then you will be forgotten.

Lesson 4- Don't deliver, get paid first Every other project was delivering on milestones, we decided to deliver even without selling out. Utility token, naming, leveling up, marketplace, ranking system, royalty payouts, charity payouts, we did all of this regardless of a sell out

Lesson 3- Don't innovate, copy instead The amount of ape projects that minted out instantly are too many to count. The amount of genuinely original projects with great art, that just sat there or had to burn their NFTs or completely shut down, are also too many to count.

Lesson 2- Timing is everything. Don't launch too early or too late. Be on trend. Don't do a 3d collection if everyone is buying 2d. Don't do collabs when no one knows what they are. Try not to be a first mover.

Lesson 1- Break into the influencer mafia. If someone with over 50k followers is not shilling for you, then you NGMI. We never quite figured out how to hire an influencer. We even paid for those influencer shill tokens. If you figure this out, you're good.

WAGMI is a lie. Not all NFT projects will make it. Ours didn't. This wasn't for the lack of hard work, collaboration, innovation or community. We lacked hype, an influencer network and also, maybe, luck. Here are 5 things that you can learn from our failure.
