Most scientists from the Global South are not able to afford Open Access (OA). An OA article can equal 3 or 4 of our monthly salaries or the full yearly amount of one of our grants. This discriminatory situation creates a double-standard in science dissemination.

With the grfp decisions being released, I was wondering about other funding opportunities that current masters students who may want to pursue a PhD could apply to instead. I know the Ford, Nancy Foster, and Hertz are great but super competitive options! Drop your suggestions!!
