The correct term for Elon Musk sycophants is “the elongated”.

The best way to avoid being scammed is to avoid taking phone calls. The best way the government can help prevent scams is to make all unsolicited outbound business calls, and the devices used to facilitate them, illegal. theconversation.com/the-dang…

We should make it Australian to give the boot to people who use the word "un-Australian".

I just found out New South Wales has an active ban against #breakdancing in schools. It's been in place since 1999.

Which seems kinda long to have a ban on anything but especially against something that encourages kids to be active. But also way too late to actually protect kids from whatever it is they thought would happen to them who would have been #breakdancing during it's heyday.

Whilst I think this is a step in the direction we need to take, if Twitch was serious about helping DJs they'd bring back Hosting. It was the best way for us to get discovered. This appears to be mostly an effort to help them not get attacked by the copyright police.
🎉 Attention DJs on Twitch! 🎉 We're launching a new DJ Program that will let you stream the vast majority of popular music in a new DJ Category launching later this summer. 🎧 Made possible by a first-of-its-kind partnership with hundreds of companies, including all major labels. 🎸 Join us and build your community on Twitch! Check out our blog for more info. 💻#TwitchDJProgram

This is EA's message to investors. Investors don't give a fuck about games nor the people who make them. All they want is return on their investment. You keep investors interested by talking about the money makers - currently Ads and AI - not decades old IP which costs big bucks.
Why does EA think in-game ads are better business than a Mandalorian game? What are we doing here, people? gamedeveloper.com/business/w…

You want games and the games industry to prosper as anything but a money spinner for uncaring investors, we've got to unionise and also smash capitalism.

Then I see Ninja Theory is trending and then read the stories and I'm like, oh seriously, go fuck yourself, The Games Industry! I love so many products you produce and so many individuals who are passionate about working in it, but we all deserve so much better.

I came here to lament on @WagaduChronicle shutting down, to thank everyone on the team for their passion and dedication and tell them they did a fantastic job, and thank (once again) @liamesler for bringing my attention to it. You did a bloody good job people.

This makes no sense to me. Hogwarts Legacy was successful because it was a stand alone game. It was enjoyable because it was crafted to be played by a single player at a pace they enjoyed.
The boss of WB Games has indicated that Suicide Squad was a "disappointment" and that the gaming division is pivoting towards games as a service. What are your impressions of their statements? Share and discuss on @giantbomb! Discussion Thread: giantbomb.com/suicide-squad-…

"Doubling down" on games as a service based on the success of Hogwarts Legacy is like deciding to build an office block because your work from home lifestyle is so successful. It completely misses the point.

If Kerr’s court case fails to acknowledge the deeper purpose of anti-racism legislation by equating “racial” with “racist”, it risks setting a highly problematic precedent that would undermine efforts to acknowledge and tackle racism in all its forms. theconversation.com/sam-kerr…

My questions are: Why wasn’t I invited? And next time can it be @theheavy Or @SmooveTurrell Or @TheAllergiesUK ?

Dear @AustralianLabor. If you want to look genuinely concerned about racism and racial profiling it might be more effective if you don’t have a bunch of white people standing behind your leader whilst he’s whining about it on national news…
