This is very awesome. #90s NYC-themed games re-imagined in the #metaverse. It's giving @barcadenewyork vibes.
One of my favorite features from last Friday's build was the NYC themed arcade games.
Using @hyperfy_io's web app, overlaid on top of some old arcade cabinets, I was able to bring some 90s classics to life for world visitors.

Creator of the term ‘metaverse’ advocates for an #OpenMetaverse
In 1992 when he published the novel Snow Crash, @nealstephenson coined the term "metaverse." In 2021, the author decided he had a choice: "Basically either go off and become the metaverse hermit, or try to make something of it,"

You should really check this out. This @NeedleTools project builds upon the @unity Timeline, and basically allows to animate arbitrary custom data with it - arrays, lists, colors, structs, compute shader inputs,...
Very powerful! And super fast to make visuals with. ✨👑🫧
This week was my birthday — I know most of you are waiting for the @unity → @threejs exporter and it wont take much longer ✌️
but until then I decided to open source the custom timeline tooling I worked on last year 😅

Can we learn from our history? The Dutch colony of New Amsterdam which became New York, brought with it tolerance & free trade. Imagine...in the 1600's...
🇺🇸🇳🇱 President George H.W. Bush in 1991 proclaimed November 16 as #DutchAmericanHeritageDay. Author and historian @RussellShorto reflects on the “first salute” in 1776 and the wider Dutch influence on US culture and history.
Happy new president & vice president day! I paddleboarded to the Statue of Liberty yesterday! It was my 1st time & current around the statue tends to be strong, but it’s as if Mother Nature knew the election results & weather ended up being more than perfect-so calm & beautiful

...& while we were out on the water, they called the election. #TheUniverseKnows — & the symbolism of being at the Statue of Liberty when all of that happened made me so emotional. – at Queens, NY
Congrats to @JoeBiden & @KamalaHarris & all of the voters, community organizers & grassroots orgs that made the win possible!
The journey isn’t an easy one & the road ahead is sure to be full of challenges, but I believe in you/us & the impact we can make #WeCanDoItAmerica – at Queens, NY

Those in power who want us to focus on looting and property damage instead of the thousands peacefully protesting are trying to distract us from the terrible violence that engulfs the lives of working people every day. As Coretta Scott King reminded us, violence takes many forms.
