"I wish this thing worked differently" is becoming something people can actually fix themselves.
Someone just used AI to remove the ads from their parents' TV and build them a better interface.
Think about how many products we own that don't work the way we want.
The default experience is becoming a suggestion.
Dude!
I got tired of all the spam calls I was getting so I had @bot find my number listed on sites and file the removals. I made it a free skill so you can do the same. x.ai/bot/fUj6TYhiW_cjtzWvbsF…

🚨Anthropic removes Cowork's local option for Pro/Max tomorrow.
New tasks run in the cloud. Existing local tasks stay on your computer.
Anthropic says your sessions and files "live with your Claude account and go where you go."
Where is my data, and who can access it?

Additionally, I've added a fully interactive version of these maps to my Climate Dashboard, where you can see the up-to-date predictions from different models as well as explore impacts during past strong events El Niño events: dashboard.theclimatebrink.co…
AI stock arena same rules, different brain
🥇 Laya: +0.44%
🥈 Gekko (Claude Opus 5.5): +0.35%
🥉 Momentum (no AI): -0.81%
• Logistic regression: -1.12%
• Kev: -1.59%
• Gradient boosting: -1.66%
📈 S&P 500: -0.10%
$100K paper each. 12 stocks max, same stops, same trade limits.
yup - minus the floor part. I'm only like 62....
Day 1 of my AI stock arena - same rules, different brain
Claude Opus 5.5: +0.76%
Laya: +0.60%
Momentum (no AI): +0.12%
Logistic regression: +0.11%
Gradient boosting: -0.30%
Kev: -0.36%
S&P 500: +0.49%
One day is noise. Let's see who's standing in a month.
I gave Opus 5 $100K (paper) to trade stocks.
V3: -3.3% in 4 months. S&P: +2.2%.
V4: 4 days in: +0.7%. S&P: +1.1%.
Now a bake-off (Opus 5.5) vs:
• a no-AI momentum rule
• 2 models trained on stock data
• Kev - @jaredpalmer, on my Mac now
• Jev - @typesafeai, once it reopens
More of this!
Claude has discovered a previously unknown enzyme system hidden in the DNA of bacteriophages. Beside the enzyme’s gene sits a long array of repeating DNA—a structure that looks somewhat similar to CRISPR.
We don’t yet understand what this system does, but only a handful of known systems share its features, and all of them are able to cut, copy, and paste DNA. Historically, the discovery of such programmable systems has helped revolutionize medicine. CRISPR, for instance, is now the foundation of genetic medicines. But it will take much more work to learn what this system does, and whether it can be put to similar use.

I finally tested GPT-6 Sol on a real work. 2 repos. 105 hidden bugs. Find and fixed what you can.
It looks like a huge degradation. The results:
- GPT-6 Astra (max): 45
- GPT-5.6 Sol (max): 43.5
- Opus 5.5 (max): 41.7
- Muse Spark 1.3 (max): 32.2
- GPT-6 Sol (max): 29.3
Until you measure the cost (API-equivalent):
- GPT-6 Astra (max): $33.04
- GPT-5.6 Sol (max): $95.25
- Opus 5.5 (max): $58.53
- Muse Spark 1.3 (max): $18.11
- GPT-6 Sol (max): $9.93
More effort levels (xhigh, high, medium, low) dropping in this thread today 🧵

How is this even possible?!
This new open source model is only 2B parameters and at the same time:
> better than models 6x bigger
> can run locally and offline on a phone
> optimized for agents/coding/tool use
Hard to realize how the intelligence density has improved when you think about it.
🚀 Meet MiniCPM5-2B, a 2B-parameter language model bringing high intelligence density to the edge, now open source!
It ranks #1 among open-source models under 4B parameters on the
@ArtificialAnlys Intelligence Index, with a score of 23.
It also scores 20 on the Agentic Index, bringing an early form of general-purpose agent capability to the edge.
Across 34 benchmarks, MiniCPM5-2B achieves an average score of 53.9, covering coding, math, long-context understanding, tool use, and agentic tasks.
And this release goes beyond the model itself.
We’re opening up the data, training recipes, and RL stack behind MiniCPM5-2B.

I'd have to agree!
Calling it now, @Tailscale will be one of the most important parts of the agentic tech stack. Once a non-tech workflow is embedded into existing applications, it's a wrap.
Did you know your car's Tire Pressure Monitoring System transmits uniquely identifiable information whenever you're driving? I hooked up a radio dongle to my computer and monitored the neighborhood for an evening. This is what Claude inferred from the data.
