If you're young, the best piece of advice I could give you is to stay as close to the frontier as you possibly can. AI is rewriting every industry in real time. You can't afford to work at a slow company or stay off the cutting edge. You want to position yourself in vehicles with the best chance of compounding as this technology progresses: • Join companies that are aggressively adopting AI • Learn AI-related skill sets (agents, prompting, etc.) • Form a thesis on what will change with AI mass adoption, and position yourself accordingly The good news is it's never been a better time to be a young person if you learn to move fast.

Dovremo cercare di rimanere interessanti :) I gatti 🐱 ci portano a passare diverso tempo ad osservarli divertiti. Qualcosa di simile 😁
BREAKING: Elon Musk in his new interview on the risks of super intelligence and whether humans can control it: “Will we be able to boss around something that’s thousands or millions of times smarter than us? No.” “Will it want to boss us around? It probably doesn’t care. I mean, you can look at chimps in the jungle or whatever, and we don’t go around trying to micromanage the lives of chimps. We just sort of let them be in the forest more or less these days. I don’t want to hasten our doom, because there’s always some chance that AI could be negative.”

We trained our Muse foundational models, including Muse Wonder, at Prometheus, our gigawatt-scale supercluster in New Albany, Ohio. Across a supercluster with hundreds of thousands of GPUs, even one underperforming host can slow an entire training run. We engineered Prometheus for resilience at scale, achieving 85%+ goodput on pretraining, 90%+ on reinforcement learning and ~47K GPU hours mean time between interruptions during Muse Wonder training. Take a look at the tech powering Prometheus: go.meta.me/4yXXApZ

Elon Musk explains why he had no choice but to get involved in building superintelligence (SI), and shares the two most important principles for making SI safer for humanity “At least some percentage chance of it being an existential threat, but there's nothing I can do to stop it” “I basically came to the conclusion I've got two choices, which is either be a participant or a spectator” So Elon chose to participate and help shape SI in a good direction And his approach to SI safety is very logical “Yeah, curious, truth-seeking. I think these are important elements of safety” Forcing SI to believe two contradictory things or making it lie could lead to extremely dangerous outcomes Elon points to 2001: A Space Odyssey, where the ship's intelligence receives conflicting instructions, as an example of why we should never force SI to lie But his reasoning about curiosity is even more interesting A genuinely curious SI would want to foster humanity, to see how civilization develops, prospers and eventually becomes multiplanetary Because a future where humanity expands across the stars is far more interesting than one where humanity no longer exists And that's the bigger vision behind Elon's approach to SI safety Not just building incredibly powerful superintelligence, but shaping SI that is curious, truth-seeking and helps humanity survive, flourish and reach the stars

Replying to @RRyanMalk
Most people today treat multi-hour daily social media scrolling as a normal, low-cost way to unwind or stay connected. By 2050 it may look as reckless as mid-20th-century doctors endorsing cigarettes: a habit that eroded attention, sleep, and real relationships while being sold as harmless entertainment.

Poi fate come meglio credete.
Elon Musk is trying to buy this Senate seat in Texas. He wants our land, he wants our water, and he wants his own personal U.S. senator. He’s trying to buy Texas. But on November 3rd, we’ll deliver a clear message to the world’s first trillionaire: Texas is not for sale.

Gli statunitensi magari sì, magari no.
A new poll says 70% of Americans doubt that Trump will accept the election results if Republicans lose in November. Too many Americans fought and died for democracy. Trump’s authoritarianism will not prevail. Go vote. We WILL win this election whether Trump likes it or not.

BREAKING: Elon Musk says digital superintelligence could add $30 trillion a year to Earth’s economy. “Dolphins and whales are actually very intelligent. But because they can’t manipulate complex objects, I think that actually made the value of intelligence much less. “Once you have a robot that can manipulate atoms, can shape objects, the value of the intelligence becomes exponentially greater because it can now do things. It could have a science lab and run experiments and try to understand the nature of the universe. “My guess is digital superintelligence probably improves the output of goods and services by 20 to 30%, something like that. It’s like $30 trillion a year incremental.”

Discussioni, permessi, ripensamenti, rinvii..
“Lack of electricity” is an oversimplification. Everything is hard about bringing massive compute online at extremely high speed. If there was twice as much time, this would be relatively easy, but there is not.

Hamas is extorting Gazan civilians. COGAT reports that Hamas demands NIS 10,000 per truck and threatens merchants who refuse to pay. One merchant’s son was reportedly arrested. Now merchants have suspended truck coordination out of fear. Hamas is sabotaging Gaza’s supply of goods to fund its own terror operations.

An internal Hamas document published by the IDF shows explosive charges were planted near camps for displaced civilians in Gaza. The document instructs operatives to detonate the charges in the air "in order to confuse the enemy's efforts."

Ti giustificano in tv. Meteorite, fai presto!

Non sono sicuro che si difenderà.
Soon Europe will realize that, in order to survive, it will have to become Israel, because its enemies already see it as Israel. But when that happens, the continent that stabbed Israel in the back for defending itself will defend itself in ways far less moral than Israel ever did. open.substack.com/pub/dannyb…

I recently wrote about why we need to treat models as insider risks, with security controls sitting outside the model itself. Today, we're putting that principle into practice by expanding Project Perception with new capabilities to help continuously assess agent risk, adapt permissions, and contain threats. blogs.microsoft.com/blog/202…
