Currently reading @monteiro's Ruined By Design. Just watched the demo for @microsoft's Surface Hub 2 where they casually drop the fact that logging in is done via fingerprint scanning. What could possibly go wrong? youtube.com/watch?v=lPEE-zOc…

Do you know of any Seattle-area musicians or artists who have synesthesia?
CSUN day 2. Trying to decide on 1 out of 16 sessions per hour is frustrating, especially when some sessions end up being blatant product pitches or not actually relevant to the session title. On the plus side, it was good to chat with @scottohara about bugs and HTML this morning

CSUN conference day one. So many concurrent sessions I want to attend. First, though: coffee.

I love seeing accessibility features in Safari Technology Preview releases. I especially like them when they include a bug I found, which was the incorrect mapping of the <meter> element to progressbar.

Nice to see updated content for WCAG 2.1's non-text-contrast requirement. Now it's clearer what's meant by adjacent color. I like the more-detailed examples that also cover related criteria. w3.org/WAI/WCAG21/Understand…

"In the field of web accessibility, The [WCAG] have been both a help and a hindrance. They provide clear advice on accessible development, but have also caused some teams to misrepresent accessibility as a downstream box-ticking exercise." @Cennydd's fab future-ethics.com/

Can someone explain, very clearly and simply, how zooming to 320 CSS PX and 256 CSS PX is equivalent to zooming to 400%? I've read numerous articles on CSS/Reference pixela and none of them have made any sense to me. #accessibility #wcag21 #reflow w3.org/WAI/standards-guideli…
Got a kid who might be interested in chess? I very much recommend Magnus' Kingdom Of Chess for iOS and Android. It's $7.99 well spent magnuskingdom.com/ No adverts, no micro-payments, no subscriptions.

That was a long day. It was a good day. But it was a long day. Next up: ~1 hour of traffic jams.
“Our projector crashed and needs rebooting and I don’t know what’s wrong so I’m having to phone a support line” sums up just how well my weekend is currently going. Currently not seeing Solo while a bunch of kids nearby get increasingly restless.
