Google AI Pro is the best AI subscription out there. Now, you can get GPU access on Colab & with the release of Gemini 4, you won’t need anything else…
Google AI Pro plans now package premium Colab benefits, landing you A100s with 80GB VRAM (Ultra subs even unlock H100s 🔥).
Here’s what that 80GB headroom unlocks directly in your browser:
✨ Run Gemma 4 31B in bf16
✨ Full fine-tune up to Gemma 4 E4B in bf16
✨ LoRA tune up to Gemma 4 26B A4B in bf16
✨ QLoRA tune up to Gemma 4 31B in bf16
I see that too, people spend way too much time optimizing their workflows. ‘Keep it simple, keep it stupid’ is still valid when using LLMs.
🤪🤪🤪
Gemini is Cooked but GCP is Cooking

DeepMind's long term failure is Google Cloud's short term gain

and...Gemini 4 is out! I am really excited for everyone to try it out. It's GOOD. 😇
Gemini 3.8 Flash TTS is so much fun, excited to build it!
We’re launching Gemini 3.8 Flash TTS and Gemini 3.8 Flash-Lite TTS ⚡️
Our most expressive audio models yet let you create custom voices across 100+ languages or pick from 2,000+ ready-to-use ones. You can direct back-and-forth conversations, guide the delivery line-by-line, and add natural cues like or an active listening interjection like |mhm| all while generating hours of consistent, glitch-free audio.
Sounds pretty cool, right? So… how should you use them?
— Gemini 3.8 Flash TTS: Need to design bespoke vocal personas from scratch and with line-by-line level control? This is the model! Built for high-fidelity creative production like gaming, immersive audiobooks, and podcasts.
— Gemini 3.8 Flash-Lite TTS: Want the AI to automatically adjust its tone and pacing on the fly for near real-time voice agents? This is your engine! Built for cost-efficient scale, high-volume dubbing, and bulk audio creation.

After co-inventing ChatGPT, I kept asking myself: why have superhuman chat models not led to AGI?
I’ve spent the last 2 years in stealth building a new way to train models (RLCD), and a new type of frontier AI model that we are releasing today: Jev
• 20-200x faster
• 40-400x cheaper (w/ output tokens free)
• Frontier composable intelligence optimized for decisions
AFAICT the shortest path to AI-based economic revolution
Such a lovely surprise on my walk today, bumped into @CathieDWood: Incredibly warm, took time for a quick chat, and just has the loveliest energy!
@ Startups that spam our timelines hoping to brute force themselves into adoption: if you need that many marketing campaigns, you might need to introspect
I also got my @JeffDean moment. After finding out he was leaving, I hastily messaged him asking for a chat and got a response: no chat for now as he is busy. But maybe coffee in London someday.
Messaging him is one thing I wish I had done earlier!
One of the reasons I joined DeepMind was to be closer to @JeffDean and @Sanjay_Ghemawat. They inspire me. I never made it to MTV to meet them, but I'm happy for them. One more opportunity for them to write history, this time on an open-source stack 😁 newyorker.com/magazine/2018/…

I really don’t want the world cup to get any bigger, I think this one was already too much. Let’s stop here please
Google Finance (Beta) is just too good, love the new AI features. A good example of taking an existing product and improving it with AI.
It’s easier for me to build intent and have more interesting questions to ask about stocks when the charts and the data is in front of me.
