No inherited farm. But Hamish & Mary McIntyre saved 20% of every pay, bought a small block in 1999 and have never sold an asset since.

Mr Shoebridge has absolutely NFI what drives productivity and innovation, and therefore the wealth generator of our economy. Instead, he wants government supermarkets 🙄
Best concentrate on Jordon Steele-John eh Davo
Obscene bank profits are never enough - $15.1b in combined profits and they still hunt for ways to sack thousands of staff - this time using AI as the driver. The issue here is the profits, not the workers.

Replying to @ALeighMP
Read the EU side.
Very proud of how shit the deal is for Australian farmers.

Did @AlboMP forget the EU get to comment on the FTA too?
The EU have been happy to promote that the 'Free' trade agreement actually runs as a protection racket for their own inefficient and government subsidised farming systems. They see the pittiful quotas offered a handbrake.
What a load of woke dribble. Best just play footy eh Alex 😉

But probably nothing you don’t know, so why perpetuate a myth of Australia’s education excellence, when full fee paying foreign students are simply able to pay the fees. Not so much because of the individuals scholastic abilities
Another #rice season begins. #food for a hungry and increasingly cranky world it seems. Trying to do my bit for the cost of living in the shadow of our #murraydarlingbasinplan
Spent 3 months in the US as a young whipper snapper..but was keen to understand their farming systems. Lamb was never at the top of the consumers shopping list, therefore very little sheep meat produced . So this is just plain belligerence

These morons clearly don't understand that these projects are in NSW & Victoria to achieve environmental outcomes in NSW & Victoria, nothing to do with South Australia.

Only those with severe cognitive impairment or South Australian's could play the VICTIM for NSW & Victoria failing to deliver projects to achieve #environment outcomes in NSW & Victoria with the ONLY resolution being to #buyback #water in NSW & Victoria & send to South Australia...🤪
The impact in SA is only 8.6% of 265GL modelled difference in environmental outcomes for the #MurrayDarling Basin Plan.

I reckon if our country wants to utilise regional areas for renewables and data centres, then Govts need to start treating regional areas as though they are part of the country. Not OK to put an engine room in someone else’s backyard and not respect and value that.
So where’s Tanya Plibersek and Murray Watt’s accountability on this one.

The writing was on wall during and after the last election. Labor is drunk on power and therefore, spending to buy votes
Should “Lucky Jim” Chalmers be sacked for sheer incompetence?
Suddenly, it’s a serious question.
Members of his own party are baying for blood.
In the real world of private enterprise, a place Jim Chalmers has never set foot in, an executive pulling a $439,000 salary who spectacularly fails to meet their KPIs would be shown the door immediately.
Instead, Chalmers remains in deep denial, veering dangerously into pure arrogance.
He rejects all criticism, blames everyone else for his Budget blues, and ignores the data. Even the ALP Green Left cheer squad embedded at the ABC is starting to abandon him.
The reality? Labor has crashed to its lowest point in history.
A recent poll has Labor tumbling to its lowest primary vote ever recorded, just 25 per cent.
Over 1.5 million Australians who voted for the government at the last election have already abandoned them.
The primary vote hasn't found the floor, it is in absolute free fall.
Former Queensland ALP state secretary Cameron Milner didn't hold back, labelling Anthony Albanese and Jim Chalmers as the “Thelma and Louise of Australian politics, driving Labor over the cliff”
Milner rightly points out that Chalmers’ May Budget waged a war on aspiration, a war on wealth, and effectively destroyed the economy for small businesses and households.
One of the country’s most respected economists, Judith Sloan, formally wrote Chalmers off as “one of the most useless treasurers ever”
He isn't a “Bogan from Logan” he’s a career political staffer with a PhD in political science who has spent his entire life in the Canberra bubble, completely disconnected from the working class Australians he was supposed to represent.
Labor has officially lost the working class to One Nation, and the NSW Right is reportedly ready to come after Chalmers' scalp.
Something has to give.
You cannot run a country when only one in four people vote for the major governing party.
It is a total, unmitigated disaster.
So debt is an issue Jimbo?
You’re in the drivers seat now. Why do you keep spending to increase debt?
GET THE FACTS: Two thirds of Australia’s gross debt was racked up by the Coalition.
In just 9 years, the Coalition racked up $607.8 billion of gross debt, and doubled debt even before COVID.
But comrade, I share their vision. Supermarket shelves of potatoes, bread and vodka
The 'think' part of the @Greens think tank is clearly missing with this populist lunacy.
Applying ALL the profit from the supermarket duopoly (entire businesses, not just food retail) would reduce food prices by 2.34%
What the Greens & every other political aspirant need to focus on is the massive structural economic costs we have created between the farmers & the consumer.
