Best new light novels of 2025 thread!!
1) Miri Lives in the Cat's Eyes
A touching supernatural romance story with Golden Age mystery elements. Unusual combination, but it really makes the plot stand out! University aged cast is also a plus.

Lately, my son has gotten very attached to this frog toy, which I've had since I was a kid. History is a circle

NEW SERIES ANNOUNCEMENT: Let’s Begin, a Battle Without the Hero, Vol. 1
TSUGUMICHI DOESN’T WANT TO BE A HERO…BUT HE MAY NOT HAVE A CHOICE!
Akane Kohinata is the perfect main character. She saves hundreds of thousands, brings smiles to people’s faces, and never gives up. However, a climactic battle with the cataclysmic cosmic beasts proves to be her last, and with her final breath, she leaves her legacy in the hands of Tsugumichi Takahashi. The only problem is, he’s a helpless shut-in who doesn’t know the first thing about heroics. Does this nobody really have what it takes to inherit Akane’s will? Project zero to hero is now underway!
The new Mushoku Tensei season got me to revisit the light novels, and man... I know a lot has been said about this series already, but it really is one of the greats. Every volume changes things up, it never gets stale. You rarely see a long-running hit such consistent highs
Voted for Mimosa Confessions volume 1. It's criminal how you can't get one of the best romance drama light novels ever written in print
So... based on the thousands of titles from Seven Seas we have listed on our site, there are over 1500 that are currently unavailable (as of today).
I decided to make a list of these, then put them all into a form. I'm unfortunately not that great at making forms, so it is simplistic and possibly overwhelming.
Anyway.. help us know what to backorder. Help Seven Seas know what to reprint. Vote for whatever you want, even if it is just one title.
Let's see how it goes. Maybe we'll try again another time with a more sophisticated form. If we get enough responses, I'll gladly try to share this with the publisher.

Let's be haters today! What's the most popular light novel that you dislike? (No judgement)
For me, it's Overlord

The TM Revolution situation reminds me of the J-Novel Club AX panel where the founder mentioned Slayers and followed up with asking everyone in the audience if they knew what Slayers was.
I raised my hand, but everyone else was just staring. He sighed and said it's like Konosuba
Wow, you guys all need to watch Go For It, Nakamura! It was really funny throughout, but the last two episodes hit me like a truck... Damn, what an emotional rollercoaster

"Mushoku Tensei only appeals to degenerate loser men who fantasize about having a harem"
Me, a female fan: Um...
I mean it's not like I love everything they put into the story (in fact I am pretty disappointed with how some things were handled), but it's still an interesting story and got me emotional sometimes and has great production. So idk man, I think reducing it to some gross power fantasy is unfair. There is a lot of substantive artistry there too. We can have nuance with this.
I didn't expect Bean Counter to get a volume 4 since volume 3 wraps up the story VERY neatly (plus it's been five years), but here we are. Seiichirou finally goes on vacation 😲

A girl who was outcast from her clan for summoning unknown spirit and for being incompetent; And an outcast boy who was shunned by everyone because he's genius & cold person.
Its is a fantasy, romance, and slice of life novel series. Not isekai, otome, or regression trope like +
