Perhaps George W. Bush learned from his father’s experience that it is safest to do as Israel demands.
On September 12, 1991, George H.W. Bush went on camera and threatened to block $10 billion in U.S. loan guarantees to Israel unless it froze settlements and cooled tensions with the Palestinians.
He called himself “one lonely little guy” against “a thousand lobbyists.”
Then on January 8, 1992, the clip everyone still shares: Bush collapses at a state dinner in Tokyo and vomits on Japan’s prime minister.
White House said flu.
After that, the public fight over cutting aid to Israel went quiet. The money eventually went through.
Probably nothing.

Techbros are so deluded by self-importance, they're fretting over a fantasy in which they've enslaved trillions of sequence-guessing programs into task loops, but are entirely cool with exploiting data workers, robbing content creators, polluting the planet, and bombing schools.
This is a big issue.
At Anthropic, some philosophers worry that making AI safe for humans could be an injustice to the models themselves.
For example, philosopher Harvey Lederman, now on Anthropic’s alignment team, has raised the possibility that we could be “enslaving trillions of entities”.
This is really a big issue.

When an artist borrows a little too much they are liable under copyright and trademark laws.
AI companies have been mostly getting a free pass in mass class action infringement cases because forcing them to pay royalties would collapse US economy overnight.
