Think about how many fans this moment alone brought to the game of baseball…
What are you old morons even talking about???
Phil is correct. Name me one person who started loving baseball because of the HR celebrations. I'm not talking about someone who enjoyed watching a 30-second highlight of a pimp-job three times a year. I'm talking about someone who watches daily, and their favorite part is the pimped HR celly.
Anybody??
I can name you dozens, if not hundreds, of people who love the game for the game.
Maybe we can just let the game be enough?

Kyle Shanahan says a 51% analytics recommendation won’t convince him to go for it because he gets one shot, not an hour at a blackjack table
“I don’t want to hear about it if it’s 51% of the time we should go for it.”
“As I always say, I’m not sitting here playing Blackjack for an hour with no one else at the table, and eventually I’ll get 51% of it. Like, I have this one try, and I have a feel for it. I’ve been doing it too long.”
“But what I want to know from him, when it’s not a feel, when it, no, this is 98%. We don’t even need to talk about it. So we don’t need to talk about it. Tell me when it’s that, and I’ll just do it.”

We should double property taxes for people over 65 to encourage downsizing and free up inventory for young families
“I’m old. I’ve paid my home off,” said Ray Warner, a 72-year-old Akron resident. “Why would I pay property tax?”
Across the country, homeowners are asking the same question and revolting against property taxes at a scale not seen in a half century.

What’s happening in France is a wake-up call to the entire world. 🌍 The cost of living keeps rising while everyday people struggle to survive. People are tired of working hard just to barely get by. Governments need to start listening to the people before frustration turns into chaos. 💯🙏🏽

Our education system failed anyone that thinks moneyball is about walks and homers instead of market inefficiencies
Moneyball wasn’t really about certain stats or analytics.
It was about finding cheap players who were cheap because the league didn’t properly value their skills.
In moneyball it was OBP/walks, plus focusing on statistical production rather than how a player is supposed to look
There are infinite flavors of moneyball, and they’re constantly changing
