The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.
Ministers @Tony_Burke MP and Anne Aly have issued a strong statement standing with all Australians against division, racism and far-right extremism.
It makes clear: there is no place for hate in Australia.

Before I became vice president and before I was elected as U.S. senator, I was the attorney general of California. Before that, I was a prosecutor who took on predators, fraudsters, and cheaters.
So I know Donald Trump’s type.
In this campaign, I will put my record against his.
