🚨@framer Template Approval Doesn’t Have to Be Hard: Master the Review Process👋💪🔥 👉Tired of seeing your Framer templates get rejected again and again? You’re not alone. Template rejection can be frustrating, time-consuming, and sometimes feel completely random. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Based on my past experience building and getting templates approved, I’ve created this checklist to help you drastically reduce your chances of rejection. Follow it closely to build rock-solid templates that Framer reviewers approve and users love.🔥 ✅ Foundation-Level Checks👇 1. All Repeated Sections Should Be a Component Reuse elements smartly for clean, scalable structure. 2. Use Animations Purposefully Don’t go overboard — use motion to enhance UX, not distract. 3. Optimize All Images Compress image files to improve speed without sacrificing visual quality. 4. Lock All Image Layers Prevent accidental shifts or edits by locking final image layers. 5. Add Descriptive Alt Text to All Images Essential for accessibility and SEO compliance. 6. Name All Layers Clearly Make it easy for reviewers and users to navigate the file. 7. Label All CMS Collections and Fields Properly Use logical, readable labels that reflect actual use cases. 8. Use Unique CMS Content (Text + Images) Don’t reuse demo filler — add meaningful variation. 9. Ensure Full Responsiveness Test across desktop, tablet, and mobile — no broken layouts. 10. Maintain Clear Typography Hierarchy Use heading levels and font sizes strategically. 11. Ensure Strong Color Contrast Meet accessibility standards and avoid low-contrast UI. 12. Optimize Page Speed Run performance checks — slow templates get flagged. 13. Upload Social Media Thumbnail Controls how your template appears when shared. 14. Set Site Language to English Essential for SEO and proper localization. 🔁 Component & Structure Checks👇 15. Name All Components Clearly Use naming conventions that help others understand your structure. 16. Group Related Components Organize logically — helps with both dev handoff and template usability. 17. Use Templates for Global Elements (Header, Footer, Sidebar) Avoid duplication. Templates make global changes easy. 18. Set Proper Metadata (SEO Title, Description, Favicon, etc.) Don’t leave these blank — they matter. 19. Use Descriptive Page Names & Slugs Avoid generic names like "/page-1". 20. Check for Broken Links or Missing Images Manual QA is a must before submission. 21. Include a Working Contact Form Even if it’s not connected to a service, ensure it's functional. 22. Avoid Overlapping or Overflowing Elements Especially on smaller breakpoints. 23. Replace All Placeholder Text Use real-like content. No lorem ipsum. 24. Set a Custom 404 Page Often overlooked, but adds professionalism. 25. Use Framer Variables for Spacing, Colors, and Typography Showcase your design system discipline. 26. Components and Interactions Work Across Mobile Ensure sliders are draggable on mobile and no core content relies solely on hover states. 27. Keep Breakpoints to a Minimum (3) Reduce layout complexity — only add a 4th if absolutely necessary. 🔒 Final Polish & Review Readiness👇 28 . Publish Without Any Optimization Errors When publishing the template there should not be any optimization error. 29. Avoid Code Overrides for Core Functionality Keep core features editable by non-technical users. 30. Set Input Placeholder Text to 16px+ on Mobile/Tablet Prevent zoom issues on form fields in mobile devices. 31. Validate All External Links Every link should work and lead to a legit destination. 32. Remove Unused Components and Assets Clean up your project before submitting. 33. Don’t Use Custom Typefaces Stick with system or Framer-approved fonts only. 34. Ensure Your Template Has a Clear Use Case Reviewers favor purpose-driven templates. 35. Use Realistic CMS Content and Media Makes your template feel more polished and market-ready. 36. Avoid Fragile or Over-Engineered Layouts Simpler = better for most end users. 37. Consistently Use Design Variables Don’t hardcode colors, fonts, or spacing if variables exist. Creating a Framer template isn’t just about visuals — it’s about structure, accessibility, usability, and polish. This checklist helps you ship with confidence and increases your chances of first-time approval. Save this. Use it. Share it.
