Welcome to my first thread! Seen lots of debate recently on Twitter about Shaw, Robertson and Chilwell, so I have compiled all the stats so that people can make their own decision. Feel free to share or comment your thoughts 😊👍

Hope that Slot’s coaching ability doesn’t prevent the club from investing in centre backs this summer. We saw Klopp maximising the talent of Phillips and R Williams, or using players out of position like Hendo or Fabinho. Slot is doing similar with Endo, Robbo, Tsimi and Grav.

Not quite sure how this model has been put together as xG is descriptive analysis rather than predictive or prescriptive 🤷‍♂️
Chance of winning the Premier League title, according to xG: ◎ Liverpool: 41% ◎ Man City: 28% ◎ Arsenal: 21%

VAR is having a shocker to start the season. Bet they’re really glad they started that account for more clarity on decisions…

Did you check this one?
#BHAMUN – 60’ The referee’s call of goal was checked and confirmed by the VAR as Amad was in an onside position.

Amad looks offside in the buildup to the first goal, was this not checked as they spent ages checking the final pass?

Got to love @GNev2 on comms. “A couple of years ago I thought his legs had gone but moving into the middle has revitalised him”. Son’s stats from 21/22: joint golden boot winner with 23 goals 🤦‍♂️

But I thought @GNev2 would forgive someone if they apologised
Gary Neville trending for all the right reasons. Still, we can never forget this can we !! Tony Adams son 😂

Gary has clearly been asked to reign it in. Sky sports coverage during/after the game were saying how can we trust offsides in the future (that was the one VAR strand that could be relied upon) Two days later and “sorry, we’ll do better next time” is supposedly enough? 🤷‍♂️
Jurgen Klopp handled the situation well last night after the game. Most football fans will have had empathy with what happened and recognised it was wrong! However Liverpools statement tonight is a mistake! Talk of exploring all options ( what does that mean!!! ) and sporting integrity are dangerous phrases along with being vague and aggressive. Sorry we f@@@@d up was enough!! I said this last night. Sorry should be respected and not undervalued. This is a snap reaction that can always be wrong but I feel strongly about it.

The only way I’m buying this is hearing the communication between them. Your move Howard Webb

So the VAR, Darren England, checked offside thinking the onfield decision was "goal." It was a quick offside check because it was clear Diaz was onside, so he told the referee "check complete". In telling the ref "check complete" he is saying the onfield decision was correct.

It’s telling that two of our fiercest, most outspoken rival fans; @markgoldbridge and @GNev2 think we’ve been crucified by the officials #TOTvLIV

Second game running with trains not working after full time. Queue is about a mile and a half long to the station...

Hi, I am aware that a train developed a fault in the Putney area towards Waterloo, which had a knock-on delay to trains from Twickenham towards Waterloo. Trains towards Feltham/Staines have been affected by two line issues in the Waterloo to Clapham Junction areas, which are 1/2

Hojbjerg might just be the short-term answer alongside a long-term starting 6 from outside the Prem - Luis, Gourna-Douath, Redondo, Thuram even could be moulded. Prem proven and wouldn't command an extortionate fee like other Prem options we've been linked with Palhinha/Doucoure

Here is Caicedo compared to other PL midfielders based on Ball Retention post recovery and Successful passes post recovery per 90. Standout.

This is the issue with Trent at RB as his primary position. When we play big games and have no/limited possession he cannot get on the ball in good areas. Haven’t seen him second half and he’s our best creator.

The amount blaming Robbo is worrying. I appreciate I’ve become a bit of a Robbo stan but he’s getting unfairly peppered. The system is great pressing high and centrally but the fullbacks are so exposed.

Just like the United takeover is on? These fake ITKs are hilarious 😂
Sofyan Amrabat just gave Liverpool a taste of their own medicine! They tried to hijack Man Utd's transfer, but Amrabat swatted Liverpool away like a pesky fly! 👋🪰

Lavia and Bajcetic are both mobile and played CB as youth players meaning in first phase buildup they can drop between CBs. Essentially creating a midfield four of Trent and Mac as pivots, Robbo and Dom wide carriers, with Gakpo able to drop in too. Salah + Darwin causing chaos!
Understand Liverpool new formal bid for Roméo Lavia is almost ready — around £42.5m guaranteed fee plus £2.5m add ons up to total £45m package 🚨🔴 Liverpool want to be fast as Chelsea are still interested in Lavia, keeping close eye. Arsenal gone quiet as Thomas could now stay.

This team benefits Robbo and Salah hugely in first and second phase buildup and gives Konate a proper outlet on his right instead of turning infield- meaning we become less predictable.

Fabinho staying isn’t the positive news that some people on here have suggested. Although he was better post system change he is still so far from peak Fab. All these clips below (split over 2 comps- not giving Elon a penny) are from after the change. Take the money and run IMO

So now we’ve been training without him for weeks. Having Trent play as a 6 in both games. Utterly ridiculous
🚨 Fabinho transfer to Al-Ittihad in jeopardy. Talks ongoing + all parties committed to deal. But there is a delay & 29yo to resume #LFC training on Weds, unless breakthrough made beforehand. Absolutely nothing to do with his dogs @TheAthleticFC #Alittihad theathletic.com/4688102/2023…
