🇺🇸 This morning, sixth-grade student Riley K. delivered an announcement to all students at Fairview High School and Mayer Middle School about the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001. The heartfelt message reminded students what happened that day while emphasizing the importance of remembrance, unity, compassion, and carrying those values forward. "As students, September 11, 2001, happened before we were born," the announcement read, in part. "That makes it especially important for each generation to learn about this moment in our history and to remember the people behind the events—not simply the date or the headlines. "Today, we encourage everyone to take a moment of quiet reflection and to consider how we can honor those we remember by treating one another with the best of human qualities: kindness, respect, compassion, and empathy. On this 25th anniversary of September 11, we remember. We honor. And we will never forget." #WarriorPride #Reflect #Lead #Communicate
