Crypto Cards with no KYC: how they work and what you risk I read the contracts behind 16 cards sold as no-KYC. Here is what you should know before you use one So how do they work? - the provider does not issue anything. A company registers, passes KYB, the business version of KYC, and gets the right to open cards for its "employees" - you are one of those employees on paper. You pay the provider, top it up in USDT, and get a card number out of that company's program - the bank behind it sees one business client, not you. Nobody checked you, and nobody can vouch for you either - one card is listed as no-KYC while the provider's own page says "KYC is required everywhere we operate" - another opens with "no photo ID needed" and hangs an asterisk on it: subject to AML and regulatory requirements How do no-KYC cards make money? - one charges 5% on the email-only tier and 0% on the tier that checks your ID. The discount is for showing documents - top-ups run 2% to 5%, opening a card costs $5 to $168, and one contract takes $0.25 for every authorization attempt, approved or declined - another takes 3% of every declined transaction - one reserves the right to charge 10% of your remaining balance per month after 90 days with no login and no spending And what do you risk? - when funds get frozen, the contract says you are the bank's counterparty, not the service. Help getting them back is offered as a courtesy - that same provider discloses that in February 2026 a banking partner locked accounts and caught part of customer balances. It says it refunded most of them voluntarily, with no obligation to - your card can die for how you spend rather than what you buy: decline and refund rates above their limit, and one bans Steam and Uber as platforms that trigger the bank's risk controls - three of them have no terms, no privacy page, nothing legal on the site at all. One of those still points buyers to a token presale page that has been switched off You are not skipping KYC here. You are using someone else's Do you use no-KYC cards, and why?

Wealthsimple's head of regulatory affairs stood up at the Fintech Canada Forum this week and said the quiet part out loud, right in front of Visa Canada. Seven years late. Real Time Rail was supposed to be running long before now, and Payments Canada is still only promising the first wave of companies will connect this Q4, with no date yet for when banks join. I've shipped payment systems where a slow settlement window quietly wrecked a small merchant's cash flow, so I know exactly who benefits when money moves slower than it has to. Banks earn float on every day funds sit still, so slow rails end up protecting somebody's income statement, whether that's the intent or not. I wonder how many more forums we need before that stops being acceptable.

The simplest Bitcoin strategy ever: • Buy Bitcoin in the midterm year (2026). • Sell 25% in the pre-election year (2027). • Sell 50% in the election year (2028). • Sell the final 25% in the post-election year (2029). • Buy again in the next midterm year (2030). Repeat.

The wildest AI project this week has nothing to do with LLMs. It counts potatoes. A developer named Viet built a vision system that counts potatoes on a conveyor belt. He annotated one frame. One. Used SAM 2 to generate labels, trained a tiny YOLO11 nano model, and it works across the entire video. Real-time counting. Production ready. While everyone is racing to build trillion-parameter models, the fastest wins in manufacturing are systems like this.

A used Mac Pro off Craigslist for $800, three weeks of upgrades and a $2,070 total build cost. 192GB RAM, an Afterburner card, 8TB NVMe and an eGPU enclosure later, video exports dropped from 18 minutes to 4, three local LLMs run simultaneously without breaking a sweat and models that normally need cloud compute run entirely locally. Apple wants $12,000 for similar specs. The used market sold him the same hardware for a fraction of that, and the $400 to $600 in monthly API savings paid the whole build back in under 4 months.
