why has nobody really figured out how to be a genuinely technical rapper in the traditional & lyrical sense while also fully embracing the production & flows that the new underground loves? like where’s the rapper with Vince/Joey/Earl-level song-writing ability who sounds completely natural over rage, jerk, hyperpop etc. are the people doing both just being overlooked? is nobody good enough to do both at a really high level? are those beats too sonically dense to accommodate equally dense rapping? or do people just not want to hear that?
