I needed one more score in order to get master, I needed at MINIMUM 1224 in dotts. I got just that.
I am now Voltaic S5 Master, who would've thought.
@emoAimers
I took 2-3 minutes this morning before work to look up at the sky and snap some photos. Remember to find beauty in something around you and take a moment to appreciate it.
Life is fast and we are only here once, treasure these little moments.
I am enjoying getting back into D2, need to get a pvp set of gear and raise my light level but it's fun so far
Pulsar PD170 XL
First Impressions:
I know I am late to the party so I will keep this short.
The feel:
This is the firmest mousepad I own that is not glass. Even my firm pads from LGG or Artisan do not compare. I understand now why people were saying this is the closest to glass they have felt on cloth.
The base:
The base is amazing. Directly out of the packaging you can feel how tacky it is. Something to look out for later down the line is if that feeling remains after several washes.
The glide:
The vertical and horizontal resistances upon first glance seem to be quite similar with the vertical having slightly more. This is obviously just a initial FEELING with no testing or stich analysis done to support my claims. However this pad is smooth, even wearing a normal hoodie I am not getting snagged on anything which is amazing for me.
Overall I am excited to try this pad out. If I really enjoy it I plan to scout one out in SQ XL hopefully. Until then look for the next peripheral post from me either being the Finalmouse SLX or the XBAB Tech XA25.
With all the talk about mouse resetting and Smoothbot Perfected, i thought i'd make a small off-script guide as to how I combat "rng" in these scenarios.
This isn't a great run, and I suck at reading without a script, but hopefully this information makes sense :D
I agree with thundah’s opinion on Smoothbot. I am honestly surprised to see this opinion contested so much due to the amount of players I’ve seen, whether through messages or streams, make the exact same statement.
Training, at its most basic level, is controlled repetition. We refine that even more within aim trainers by creating benchmarks to assess the participants’ overall ability to perform under specific circumstances (i.e., aim subcategories such as smoothness). When you introduce randomized, unpredictable, and unintentional (notice that there is an “and” here, not “or”) patterns within a scenario, you then start varying the difficulty between runs to a degree that nullifies the original intent of the scenario, which is to gauge the overall ability of a player when faced with specific, repeatable actions.
My entire argument is the inclusion of this scenario in a BENCHMARK. Now, when we talk about training in Kovaaks with the idea of maximizing transferable skills to any FPS title, then Smoothbot shows a great use case. In the original thread between thundah and miriam, there was debate using TF2 gameplay as a reference to prove the usefulness of Smoothbot. I think that represents my opinion of its use case entirely.

And yes, raw smoothness is objectively the most skill based subcategory. That’s not debatable. @AimTSK to the moon.
