Giovanni Pintori for Olivetti, 1937–1967.
I could spend hours looking at Olivetti posters and their beautiful design. I don't think I've ever seen one I didn't love. Selected Olivetti Vintage ads.

Playtime is a masterpiece! Severance production designer Jeremy Hindle has cited Jacques Tati's 1967 film as a key reference for the visual world of Lumon. The symmetry, the simplicity, the absurdity. The parallels here are loose but the atmosphere and satire remain similar.

Could you imagine walking into a store with green marble floors, Murano glass lamps and a 23-meter sculptural relief? Olivetti did! This Fifth Avenue showroom in New York glamorously embodied the company's vision of design culture. Olivetti NY Costantino Nivola & BBPR, 1954.
We've all heard that Olivetti stores were the Apple Stores of their era. But my favorite part is how they built a beautifully coherent brand identity while treating each location as a unique design project Each store became an opportunity for a different architectural response.

See this level of reverence? Designed as part of a network of 29 Olivetti stores across Spain. Each space refined a simple idea: make the typewriter the only thing competing for attention. Olivetti Shop, Badalona Federico Correa & Alfonso Milá, 1969.
